Pitch #2696: Chris Young

Veteran music publisher with multiple cuts on major artists is listening to songs for Black River Entertainment artist Chris Young.

Seeking: Up- or mid-tempo songs with out-of-the-box type ideas. Songs still need to have positive universal subjects. Examples of positive universal subject matter include finding or being in love, or a positive or lesson-learned story song. However - and this is important - he needs a fresh angle on those ideas - a way of saying it that has not been said before by him or other artists. No ballads, please. No lost love, negative, or downer songs. Must be well crafted lyrically and musically. He is searching for his transformative career song. Always research an artist before pitching.

AI Guidelines: As per current copyright guidelines, this guest will only consider songs with 100% human-authored lyrics and 100% human-authored melodies. See https://songu.com/FAQAI-Guidelines.aspx. AI may be used for production or vocals with disclosure.

Additional AI Use Update: All our pitch guests are reporting that record labels, artists, and management are frequently asking song pluggers and publishers to provide a time-stamped original work tape version from the songwriter as proof of human authorship. If you use AI enhancements in your production, it is strongly suggested that you keep a copy of your original "work tape" demonstrating your original melody and lyrics, with a digital timestamp that predates the AI-produced version. Your work tape doesn't have to be professional-sounding. It can be as simple as you singing the melody and lyrics a cappella. Do not attach your work tape to this submission. If needed, the guest will ask you for it later.

Pitch Follow-up: If this guest expresses interest in your song, they will pitch it with the understanding that you will be asked to sign a single song agreement with the publishing company if there is interest in the song.
