About: 2025 Top Composer Award Winner, Marialaina DiFalco. Marialaina is from Long Island, NY. She says, "I started writing songs as a child and had my first radio release at age 20 (freestyle dance song called "Love Me Tonight" by the artist Cynthia). I have always had a love of music and songs, a fan of many artists including Whitney Houston, Heart, Madonna, The Police, Shania Twain, Tim McGraw and others. It was always the amazing melodies that drew me in. I play guitar and writing melodies has always been my strength, but through attending classes at SongU and attending workshops both locally and in Nashville, I feel I have greatly improved my lyric writing also. While I still have the dream of one day hearing more of my songs on the radio, for now, just hearing someone tell me that a song I wrote resonates with them is priceless." Seeking: Hey all! I am looking for something that speaks to me. It could be a cool ideas or lyric starts. Also, it could be a cool guitar riff, an instrumental, or existing song's instrumental with a cool track and/or chord progression in which maybe you aren't quite happy with the song and wouldn't mind a rewrite/or new topline. I do write both melody and lyrics. I play guitar to accompany myself, but I mostly compose my melodies in my head and then find the chords. I'm not as strong with track production, so if you have studio/arranging/demoing capability, that is a definite plus. I write mostly Contemporary Country and Pop or Pop Rock. I'm always looking to write commercial songs. However, if sync is your thing and you are good on the sync business/placement end, I would love to collaborate and see where that could lead.
- If including a worktape/demo, please leave a note if you are looking to collaborate/cowrite on that particular song or if you are just including as an example of your writing style for cowriting something new.
- Let's keep it all original and work together to improve our craft! So please, no AI derived or assisted lyrics or melodies.
Thanx all for the read and interest; I'm looking forward to hearing from you. -- Marialaina :)

Carey Latham - "WALLS"

Pitch #2627
Uptempo Pop/Country Songs for Various Male Artists. Veteran music publisher with multiple cuts on major artists is listening for a certain type of song for various male artists. Please read this description carefully.
Seeking: I'm low on this type of song and always need them for my "go-to" list. Uptempo. More Pop/Country then mainstream Country. The vibe may sound like something that would appeal to the crowd that Chase Matthew, Cole Swindell, Bailey Zimmerman, Kane Brown, and similar artists play to - the young female listener. Remember, the music needs to be upbeat - the track might even have that highly rhythmic type of "Trap" beat ala Morgan Wallen's 'Gone Girl' and Shaboozey's 'A Bar Song (Tipsy).' Surprising or fresh melodies. Also...
Lyrics must be competitive. We know that AI can generate beats, so let's make sure we also have compelling lyrics -- titles that payoff, interesting ideas, authentic emotions. Say something in a way we haven't heard before. Set up your first verse quickly with an engaging first line to grab the listener and then keep them listening for the first 30 seconds. (Most of the time, I don't even get to verse two if the first verse does not draw me in.) Try to get to the point and make it pay off quickly. You may not need a pre-chorus. Your verses should lead directly to the title to make the title stand out. I know this is a challenge, but I'm looking for songs that make the listener sit up and listen.
AI Guidelines: Based on the current copyright report (https://songu.com/FAQAI.aspx), this guest will only consider songs with entirely human-authored lyrics and human-authored melodies. AI may be used for demo production, but any such use of AI must be disclosed.
Pitch Follow-up: If this guest expresses interest in your song, they will pitch it with the understanding that you will be asked to sign a single song agreement with the publishing company if there is interest in the song.
