The SongU.com Pitching Philosophy

To be clear, SongU.com is not a pitching service. Our mission statement has always focused on the entire educational process, not just pitching, as its goal. We believe that honing your craft and making each song the best it can be before putting it out there is ultimately what works in the long run. While there are other sites that strictly focus on pitching, SongU.com only added pitch opportunities (without raising our membership cost) because we believe that learning to pitch songs and having success at it is part of the educational process for our members.

We’re really proud of our members when they have success with their writing, much like any teacher would be who sees their students successes. You can see and read some of their success stories.

Why Can't I Purchase Additional Fast-Track Submissions?

Unlike Street Pitches, we cannot guarantee a yes, no, or maybe response on every song submitted to a Fast-Track pitch guest. For this reason, once your free pitch(es) are used, Fast-Track pitch submissions are closed. Fast-Track pitch guests will let you know if they are interested in your song.

What Are Street Pitches?

This is a guaranteed listen by guest songpluggers, publishers, licensing agents, and other industry pros for their upcoming meetings and projects. You submit your song. They listen. You receive an email to let you know whether or not the guest expresses interest in pitching your song. If so, you will follow-up with each other. And no, SongU.com does not take part in publishing or licensing songs.

What Are Fast-Track And Recurring Pitches?

Pitch songs to guests who are listening for a project with a deadline such as artists, artist managers, and producers. This includes both major and independent projects, in the U.S. and overseas. Ongoing opportunities to industry pros looking for songs on a recurring basis are also available. You submit your song. They listen. If the guest expresses interest in your song, you will receive an email of interest. And no, SongU.com does not take part in publishing or licensing songs.
