Submit original songs that showcase your melody and chord writing ability. Recordings may also include lyrics. There is no limit to how many songs you can submit. (Submissions to this event will not count toward your monthly pitch quota.)

• Songs that give us a sense of your music writing strengths.

a) You will probably have your best shot if you can give us the following: Something FUN, HOOKY, SING-ALONG like Joe's "Broken Heartsville," and Blake Shelton's "Some Beach Somewhere." UPDATE: No songs where he is drinking or getting drunk over her. While it can say something about whiskey in a passing word, lyrics should not say anything that talks about him drinking whiskey. In other words, the narrative shouldn't revolve around him drinking, even though it can take place in a bar. Think smooth and melodic like George Strait's "Amarillo By Morning or "Vern Gosdin's "Set'em Up Joe" or "Chiseled In Stone."
