LITTLE BIT OF COWBOY
Little Bit Of Cowboy (B. Corley)
V1
I been searching for a certain kind of man
Tall and lean in jeans with a working man's hands
He gets the job done and he ain't afraid of having fun
His mama had a fine son and I'm a gonna take him home
CH1
He can be sweet
He can be tough
He tells it like it is and he’s man enough
He won’t need a big hat
Or horse to ride
Standing by my side
I like a little of cowboy in a man
I’ll take a little bit of cowboy in my man
V2
I've heard every line, no you can't buy a drink for me
I'm waiting for a man and you're sitting where he's gonna be
I'll know him when I see him in his one ton pick up truck
He better get it ready cause there's gonna be some picking up
CH1
He can be sweet
He can be tough
He tells it like it is and he’s man enough
He won’t need a big hat
Or horse to ride
Standing by my side
I like a little of cowboy in a man
I’ll take a little bit of cowboy in my man
BRIDGE
He never backs down and he never hides from trouble
He always comes a-runnin’ to me on the doubler
He’s everything I’m hopin’ for a man to be
And I’m gonna do some ropin’ when he comes to me
SING OUT
I like a little bit of cowboy in a man (repeat)

STAND UP FOR MY COUNTRY (B. CORLEY)
Stand Up For My Country (B. Corley)
V1
I pledge allegiance to my country
For which I stand
I pledge allegiance to my country station
And my favorite country band
I swear I’ll always love my mama
And my high school football team
I still believe in American dreams
And buddy, this is what I mean
PRE
I won’t explain or apologize
When I’m talking about my patriotic pride
I’ll always stand up when they sing that song
I know all the words and I sing along
CH1:
I’ll stand up for my country
Country’s what I am
Stand up for my country
I’m a country fan
VERSE 2
I pledge allegiance to my steady job
And my late model pickup truck
Working hard is what we do all day
And they know when I’ll be showing up
We do exactly what we say we’ll do
And you’ll know just where I stand
I guess I’m just another good old boy
And my Daddy is a good old man
PRE
I take vacations in the heart of the nation
Now I’m Panama City bound
I’ll signify it on the Fourth of July
With the stars and stripes I’ll be flying
CH2
I’ll stand up for my country
Country’s what I am
Stand up for my country
I’m a country fan
BRIDGE
Some folks tell me that it just ain’t cool
When I’m singing about the red, white, and blue
Well here’s my final word and it’s where this song starts
And I’m a’ singing it just for you
CVH3
I pledge allegiance to my country
Country’s what I am
Stand up for my country
I’m a country fan
SING OUT
I’m a lucky man
Country man
What I am
Country fan --- END ---

UNFINISHED LOVE
Unfinished Love (B. Corley)
V1
Opened up my high school yearbook
Turned the page and saw your face
Thought about our senior year
And all those nights after football games
There’s one thing I still remember
Making out in Daddy’s car
We came so close and went so far
Now I wonder where you are
CHORUS
We got some unfinished love
I wanna circle back with you
Unfinished love
We got some catching up to do
Dreaming of my first love
And I’m reaching out to you
V2
We’ll have our own class reunion
Back in our old hometown
Walk around the square on a Saturday night
Just like with our old crowd
We’ll find a place to go where the lights are low
And there’s no one else to hear
What I say when we slip away
After waiting all these years
(REPEAT CHORUS)
BRIDGE
I think about the love we shared
We were so unprepared
Now we’re grown
And on our own
And I wonder if you still care
(REPEAT CHORUS)

WOODSMOKE WISDOM
Woodsmoke Wisdom (B. Corley)
Camping on a winter night off the beaten path
In between tomorrow and the past
Thinking about how we turned out
Doubts creep in I can live without
Throw ‘em all on the fire tonight
And watch it burning bright
CH1
I’ll need some woodsmoke wisdom
Stiff whiskey in my hand
Drink some more of this one
That’s my only plan
I need some woodsmoke wisdom
A fire for light and heat
What’s been done is done
I’ll get back on my feet
When I can
V2
Wondering how it might have been, staring at the fire
Family, friends and lovers in my life
I can only breathe a sigh
Separate the truth and lies
Life is just a mortal loan
There’s nothing we can truly own
CH2
I’ll need some woodsmoke wisdom
Stiff whiskey in my hand
Drink some more of this one
That’s my only plan
I need some woodsmoke wisdom
A fire for light and heat
What’s been done is done
I’ll get back on my feet
When I stand
BRIDGE
Wonder some times
What's really mine
CH3
I‘ll take my woodsmoke wisdom
Stiff whiskey in my hand
Think some more on this one
And be a better man
Make some woodsmoke wisdom
A fire for light and heat
What’s been done is done
I’ll get back on my feet
When I stand

BEER TALKIN' (B. CORLEY)
Beer Talking (B. Corley)
V1
Hanging with my posse at the swimming hole
Turns into a party with some people we know
Mad Dog says he’ll do a triple backflip dive
Off the diving rock and now he thinks he can fly
CHORUS
That's the beer talking
He’s feeling good and lookin’ awesome
That’s the beer talking
He’s standing up but barely walking
You can’t shut him up, you can’t scare him off
He’s ten foot tall and full a’ ‘watch this y’all ‘
Just one more beer and now he’s got no fear
That’s the beer talking
I hear … again
V2
Friday night we’re drinking at the cowboy bar
Don’t know what he’s thinking but he’s gone too far
Ricky says he’ll show us how to ride that bull
Turn it up to ten he says and takes another pull
(REPEAT CHORUS)
BRIDGE
Do it again, ma’m, bring one us more round
Nothing he can’t do and you can’t keep him down
He’s picking up the tab he wants to pay for us all
But the more he drinks the harder he falls

He’s feeling good and lookin awesome

I'LL ALWAYS HAVE THAT
I’ll Always Have That (D. Allen / B. Corley)
V1
We had ourselves some good times down in New Orleans
We made our own parade up and down Bourbon street
Drinking and dancing to some good old delta blues
It felt so good just to be with you
CH1
I don’t have your number to call you on the phone
Love struck and empty a long way from home
I don’t have the taste of you on my lips
But I still have the note you sealed with a kiss
It said have a nice day,
lets leave this where it's at
This is now and that was then
And I’ll always have that
V2
There just words on some paper, I've tried to read between the lines
Looking for an answer looking for a sign
Did you run halfway to Vegas or to Tennessee
looking for something you didn't see in me.

I don’t have your number to call you on the phone
Love struck and empty a long way from home
I don’t have the taste of you on my lips

LIVING THE DREAM (B.CORLEY)
Living The Dream (B.Corley)
V1
Whole thing started bout a year ago
They shut down the line and they let us go
That's all I know
Twenty-two years on the same machine
I started there when I turned sixteen
I needed that job
CH 1:
And I had no way to make a living (situation …)
We prayed for anything the lord was giving
I’d work any job merely to survive (… desperation)
And keep our hope alive
We're living the dream
Living the dream
V2
Sheriff came round early one morning
They padlocked doors and they put up warnings on this house we owned
Said there was a letter bout an unpaid loan
I couldn't get an answer on the telephone
They cut that off too
CH 2:
Well I don't believe that information (what they’ve taken … )
We got no form of compensation
We spent two nights in a motel room (… our location)
Then we had to move
We're living the dream
Living the dream
Bridge:
Hoping we could find some work and make it in another town
We took what’s left and headed west to find ourselves some higher ground
And build a life worth working for
V3
Gotta make a living if you want a life
Can't spend time and you can't think twice
Ya gotta move on
Took about a year but I got re-trained
And now I'm working overtime everyday
At twice the pay
CH 3
And I can’t believe it ever got so hard (our salvation ..)
We had to put the rent on a credit card
Better things must be coming soon ( ... is at hand)
There’s nothing left to lose
We’re living the dream
Living the dream

You can see there's some history behind the man
Memories and enemies and friends he left behind
Keep him looking backwards and wasting all his time
There's every smoke he ever smoked
And every heart he broke
And some things he won't talk about
And you don't wanna know
CHORUS
Every line he ever crossed to get him to this place
It's written there
Written there
On his face
VERSE 2
Life was fine back in sixty-nine
When he chose the road he's on
You could change the world with music, peace and love
Along the way there were gigs to play and bills to pay and a child
Now he plays what he has to play to survive
Working clubs and driving trucks
And playing for the door
There's every fight he ever lost
And got up wanting more
There's long sideburns and scars he earned
And the laughing look in this eyes
When he thinks back on the good years
With his favorite ex-wife
PRE CHORUS
There's every night that brought him to this day
And every sticker on his guitar case
And every song he ever plays
Leaves another trace
CHORUS
Every line he ever crossed to get him to this place
It's written there
Written there
On his face --- END ---

JUST LIKE CHRISTMAS
Just Like Christmas (B. Corley)
It’s a fine thing when the bells ring, and we all sing "Oh holy night"
And when you came, my life changed, there's a new flame, shining so bright
Now it's just like Christmas every morning
When you're here, it's New Year's every day
It's just like Christmas every morning
I wake up feeling your love come my way
Now there's so much joy in this country boy, it's like a brand new toy, from under the tree
An answered prayer, a breath of air, a love to share, with someone like me
Now it's just like Christmas every morning
When you're here, it's New Year's every day
It's just like Christmas every morning
I wake up feeling your love come my way
Bridge
Once there was a time when I was broken and lost
Now I've found a door that's always open
It's just like Christmas every morning
When you're here, it's new year's every day
It's just like Christmas every morning
I wake up feeling your love come my way
I wake up feeling your love come my way --- END ---
