I'm a lyricist from East Texas. I've been writing and co-writing a few years now and actively pitching to song pluggers through other avenues. My website is timothymichaelmusic.com and you can find me on SoundCloud at Timothy Michael Music. I write primarily country genre, but occasionally Christian as well. I'm always looking for guitar or piano players to create melodies and generally vocals as well. Open to collaboration. Looking for musical co-writers for my lyrics.

Genres: Country, Christian, Pop

Instruments: No Instrument

Influences: 90s country style. Alan Jackson, Garth, George, et al. But I also love new artists like Kane Brown, Parker McCollum, Jackson Dean. My writing style leans towards traditional country I am primarily country driven and write life experience type songs a lot. I've lived a bit.

Goldfish Published by timothymichaelmusic.com 25 JUL 2023 V1. I can’t catch a break today Nothing seems to go my way Work week’s working me over In this month of Mondays My love life ain’t much better Because I went and let her Live rent free in my head And I can’t seem to forget her Chorus Wish I was a goldfish ‘cause I heard that they forget quick Just Swim away and clear my mind I can’t seem to escape My brain always takes the bait And my memory hits rewind There’s one thing that would prob’ly fix all this I wish I was a goldfish V2 If I had no memory I’d have the opportunity To look at all the positives Then maybe I could see I’d be happy right here in my pond Where the sun is shining all day long I’d just keep on swimming Right here where I belong. Chorus Wish I was a goldfish ‘cause I heard that they forget quick Swim away and clear my mind I can’t seem to escape My brain always takes the bait And my memory hits rewind There’s one thing that would prob’ly fix all this I wish I was a goldfish Bridge I’d have the shortest memory There’d be nothing left of her and me It might be the only thing to set me free Chorus Wish I was a goldfish ‘cause I heard that they forget quick Swim away and clear my mind I can’t seem to escape My brain always takes the bait And my memory hits rewind There’s one thing that would prob’ly fix all this I wish I was a goldfish I wish I was a goldfish I wish I was a goldfish

Life Lessons Published by timothymichaelmusic 21 AUG 2023 V1. Traded the love of a dozen good women For a hundred one night stands I watched a million shots of whiskey Blow a thousand real good plans I’ve always lived life the hard way Slammed so many open doors Thank God that’s not me anymore Chorus I’ve had some growing up to do And the truth is I ain’t done I’ve had to figure out just who it was I wanted to become Now I’m a better man than I was back then But I ain’t as good as I’ll be getting Made some mistakes, but at least I can say That I’m making less bad decisions And I realize hard times don’t mean a life sentence It’s just learning life lessons V2. It took me a whole lot longer Than it probably did for some But now I’m way too far down the road To keep playing young and dumb Been a selfish, self-centered son of a gun But I ain’t rotten to the core Thank God that’s not me anymore Chorus I’ve had some growing up to do And the truth is I ain’t done I’ve had to figure out just who it was I wanted to become Now I’m a better man than I was back then But I ain’t as good as I’ll be getting I’ve made some mistakes, but at least I can say That I’m making less bad decisions And I realize hard times don’t mean a life sentence That’s just part learning life lessons Bridge Life ain’t a prison, unless you make it one Leave the past in the past, and just move on son. Chorus I’ve had some growing up to do And the truth is I ain’t done I’ve had to figure out just who it was I wanted to become Now I’m a better man than I was back then But I ain’t as good as I’ll be getting I’ve made some mistakes, but at least I can say That I’m making less bad decisions And I realize hard times don’t mean a life sentence Outro It ain’t the end of the world It’s just another stone for steppin’ That’s just part of learnin’ life lessons That’s just part of learing life lessons
