    Backstory:
This is SORT of true... I did see an old boss in the grocery store and he really did a number on my confidence. And there he was- looking like crap and buying shitty wine. So that's were this was born. I think of it as driving and a BIG female vocal! This is just my demo with guitar and vocal (me). Thank you!

    Lyrics:

Karma’s a Bitch- Amy Clay Verse 1 You were a couple of folks ahead of me in line Buyin’ a six pack of bottom shelf wine Even from the angle where I stood, I could tell The toll the years had taken - and how far you fell Pre-Chorus I was taught never to wish ill will upon Anyone even if they did me wrong But I had nothin’, nothin’ to do with this Karma’s a bitch Chorus She’s not fooled by your stupid lies Sees right through that nice guy smile Keeps a log of everything you did Hmm Hmmm Karma’s a bitch Bridge Back then when you dealt me that blow You carried on so high while I hit a low But standin’ there that day in the grocery store Was the shell of the man you thought you were before And a part of me celebrated just a bit Hmm hmm hmm Karma’s a bitch Break (Instrumental over Chorus) Verse 3 Your eyes caught mine and your face turned red Well I guess you were thinkin’ ‘bout everything you said That day when you thought you stole my power But you didn’t and I came back even stronger Pre-Chorus I was taught never to wish ill will upon Anyone even if they did me wrong But I had nothin’, nothin’ to do with this… Karma’s a bitch Chorus / Outro She’s not fooled by your stupid lies Sees right through that nice guy smile Keeps a log of everything you did Hmm hmm hmm Karma’s a bitch
