    Backstory:
Hard to come up with an original angle, but I kept envisioning that moment -- happening more and more -- when the grown kids of families are setting up their own life, moving to another city, etc. So seemed appropriate for the family to have one big feast and to actually talk about that and wish the best as the "children" start their own lives and being their own Christmas traditions.

    Lyrics:

V1 It wasn’t very long ago when Christmas came our way. there were just a few of us to celebrate this day. And every year as time goes by, Our family feast has grown. Now you who sat upon our knee, have children of your own. CH Let’s make this A CHRISTMAS TO REMEMBER With joy throughout the years. Like cheerful songs and granddad’s toasts that left us all in tears. Or handing out the first gift to the youngest in our midst, And waiting by the mistletoe for a tender Christmas kiss. V2 In this everchanging world it’s so wonderful you’re here For no one knows for certain where we all will be next year. But these memories will never fade As we go our separate ways they’ll keep us all within our hearts for countless Christmas days. CH Let’s make this A CHRISTMAS TO REMEMBER. With joy throughout the years. Like cheerful songs and granddad’s toasts that left us all in tears. Then let’s take down the angel, and wrap her carefully She now belongs to all of you For your own Christmas tree Outro Let’s make this A CHRISTMAS TO REMEMBER. Take these traditions as your own So you can hold your Yuletide feasts, For years and years to come.
