Backstory:
I saw the title on a weather map in Florida on WINK Weather and I contacted the guy who posted it and he said it's free to use so I wrote a song about moving to Florida a decision about a thousand people a day make.
Lyrics:
PALM TREES TURQUOISE SEAS AND EIGHTY DEGREES
Saying goodbye to Chicago
Need to move where the weathers warm
The windy city ain't our thing
But we had to earn a living
The winters here are getting hard to take
And it's past time to move on
We're going to sell our house, pack up
And head out for the south
To palm trees turquoise seas and eighty degrees
Sipping margaritas at Tommy's tiki bar
Listening to Jimmy Buffet on the radio
Feeling the gulf breeze
What a life of ease
Among palm trees turquoise seas and eighty degrees
We gave our two-weeks notice
We'll be looking for new jobs
We're Florida bound
And there's ain't no turning around
Loading up our SUV
Heading down I-65
Each mile down the road
Gets us closer to our new life
CHORUS
Who wouldn't want to live in paradise
Sometimes it's just a matter of rolling the dice
CHORUS
Palm trees turquoise seas and eighty degrees
Palm trees turquoise seas and eighty degrees
