Backstory:
Just another brilliant idea from ME! lol No actually, I got the idea from the Little Texas song: "Kick a Little." Always liked the play on words in that song so I created one of my own. This song features an AI demo based on my chord structure and melody. It is a simple 1,4,5 progression based on the Nashville numbers system with no relative minor or bright chords. AI provided only vocals and instrumentation.
Lyrics:
Title: Country Class
Key: F#
V1
The job was done the hay was baled
So I headed down to the Rusty Nail
When I pulled into the parking lot
I noticed she was in my spot
She drove an old beat up truck
In the bed lay a five point buck
Bits of straw hung from her shirt
Didn't take long for me to flirt
CH
Cause she’s a homegrown country girl
With small town charm and southern sass
She put my head all in a whirl
The way she shook that country // Class
Verse 2
We talked a while it was gettin late
So I asked her out on a date
She climbed up into my old Ford
I hit the gas, the engine roared
We loaded our guns out on the range
That's when I noticed something strange
With steady hands and an eagle eye
She hit that bullseye every time
Bridge 1 (SPOKEN)
Needless to say I kept my hands north of the border
Uh huh; - y'all fellers know what I'm talkin about
CH
Oh I want that homegrown country girl
With small town charm and southern sass
She puts my head all in a whirl
The way she shakes that country // Class
Bridge 2 (Sang)
We had a lot of fun that day
That night we made love in the hay
CH
Well I married that homegrown country girl
With small town charm and southern sass
She puts my head all in a whirl
The way she shakes that country // Class
Outro
Yeah my homegrown, down home, small town girl
Still puts my head all in a whirl
The way she shakes that country // Class
