Frosty silver ground

Where the sound of your breathin'
Has me believin'
That the world's not as crazy as it seems

Scrambled eggs and sausage
Brandy in our coffee
Friendly food to feed the soul
Then, wrapped in autumn colors
We'll venture through the hillside
And let the woodlands take control

Here beneath a sunburned sky
Above a painted valley
In this SPACE IN BETWEEN
Where trees have full dominion
The winds hold no opinion
Where we're free to shed the the voice of the machine 

And as we listen carefully
Ignore that cold cacophony 
Of noise meant to divide us into tribes
We'll touch the earth and breathe the air
Forget the tech and the billionaires
Remember what it means to be alive

As we wander back with lighter steps
Thankful for our home 
Glad for friends who've stayed the course
And friends still now unknown
