Backstory:

Came into Georgetown one hot, summer, Monday morning, and promptly got stopped in traffic with jackhammers going off to the left of me, jackhammers to the right of me. No a/c in my car, no chance of escape. I leaned back in my seat and cried aloud in utter frustration to God and the Fates, "Why can't Monday morning begin at noon?" 
Later, I went to buy sandals and I used that line when the guy at the cash register complained about his day. 
He laughed and said, "that's a good line!" That's when I knew I had something!
