Copper cool and nickel bright
Frozen moon framed in anthracite
With two ruddy faces we taste the breeze
Blowin' winter sharp 
Through the skeleton trees
A good excuse for sippin' whiskey teas

Most of our friends have eased away
Off to the dessert for their final days
To bleach their bones in the cactus sun
Trustin' the heat to keep them ever young
'Till their dancin' dreams are done

But, you and I
We'll stick it out in these Northern Climes
Where the mountains hold court
Over the valley pines
And rivers speak in crystal tongues
Of grizzly bears and midnight suns
Where stars that set cold hearts aflame
Flood the skies with silver rain



Huddled together in our weathered skin
Laughin' while starin' down the bitter wind
You're a snow princess, I'm a troubadour
Caught up in magic, can't ignore
The aurora borealis kissin' heaven's door
