Backstory:
I came across "Sand In My Boots" by Morgan Wallen, and the travel home vibe kicked in, with an on route interaction seemed like a wonderful plan b opportunity.
Lyrics:
travelling home, singing a song
goin back to my roots
feeling like I need to belong
gotta lose these cowboy boots
then I see a thumb passing by
so I think oh what the hell
and say "hey do you wanna fly,
ride with me for a spell"
it was near a rainbow wood
by a shimmering lake
she said she thought we should
no love then, no heartache
holding hands and walking
we bared our souls in waters blue
and after, we did some talking
somehow I thought I knew
"do you wanna tequila kiss"
we walk to the beach bar
she could hit, my little miss
and sees off a whiskey jar
and as we view the night sky
she agrees to travel on with me
but next morning, by and by
I wait but there is no she
travelling home, with a sad song
goin back to my roots
feeling more like I need to belong
gonna lose these cowboy boots
