Time goes by so quickly you wonder what happened
To all of the dreams and the people you’ve met,
But sometimes a memory can come back to haunt you
Especially those memories too hard to forget.

Once a young man just travellin’ alone around the country
To see what I could before I became old,
I spent time on the East Coast, and down in New Brunswick
Where I met a young maiden who captured my soul.
