"Engrave My Heart" is an ode to someone whose kind words changed a life.

-replace “calamine” - reminds her of poison ivy 

-use bridge lyrics as pre-chorus - thought it was a powerful set up - [not really possible with verse 1, but works well with verse 2]

-probably lose the “thank the lord” lyrics - eliminates the possibility that this is an ode to God (as well as to a friend, spouse, lover) 

-with these changes, would pass along to Trisha Yearwood and/or her producer
