Backstory:

This lyric is the story of a first kiss in an intense romantic relationship and two people being irresistibly drawn together and, for different reasons are are both missing human intimacy and closeness until finding the attraction between them. The lyric describes the build up of that attraction and need to express and yearning find that intimacy/closeness and the moment of that first kiss.
