Backstory:
I decided how neat to write about Christmas in July.
I didn't use Pat Patterison way but it came out nice.
I might redo it to see if any improvement. Trying to get that first pitch. Thinking on Galveston, Texas.
Lyrics:
Christmas In July
V:
Riding backseat pulling off my shorts
You holding on to the jeep wheel so tight
It’s nothing like the beach in the summer
The island ferry docking at the port
I can see the tide is not to high
Chorus:
So tonight I’m going to hang my hair down
Play in the dark with you, rolling in the sand
I want to get lost in the sound of the waves
Let the old heartbreak drown
Take a long walk on beach holding hands
It’s must be Christmas In July
V:
Kissing you on the boardwalk
You touching my lips so soft and sweet
It’s nothing like the shore under the moon
Today we only made small talk
I’m making love on this blanket as our heartbeat
Bridge
In December you keep me warm all night
All those emotions I snuggle in winter
It’s something about July you bring it back to life
You release them all in a whisper
