    Backstory:
    This song was written on the evening of 911. As I watched TV there was a particular scene showing the Statue of Liberty in the foreground and the twin towers on the ground in the background. To me that image represented liberty, freedom vs tyranny/terrorism. It was so etched in my mind. I immediately wrote the song from the perspective of the Statue of Liberty.
