Backstory:

 

Originally I was going to write a song about the Garden of Eden. Later I had changed my thinking to writing about the Garden of Gethsemane. The end result is this song. These two gardens are probably the most important places for the Christian Faith. Of course the Garden of Eden was the beginning of our fall from grace and the Garden of Gethsemane was the beginning of the restoration of our relationship with God. Gardens On The Way means our journey on the way to the growth of our Faith. In the solo you can hear the sound of marching which is in reference to the old Christian song, Onward Christian Soldiers.
