Backstory:

I wrote this Christmas song after pondering how few songs tell the Nativity story by  looking at the characters as a family. I think it gives a poignancy to think that despite their famous individual roles, they created a beautiful little family.

It was clear from the very start 
She would be unique among all mothers 
Virgin girl, humble in her heart
God had favored her above all others
His promise was a holy birth
To bring salvation here to earth

Joseph stunned—-had he been betrayed?
Did an angel really visit Mary?
