I wanted to write a song awhile back about how sometimes we can feel lost in the mundane everyday business of living...... and how we can feel like we are not visible to those we love the most.

                                                Lyrics:

Don’t Forget to Love Me (rewrite option 1 featuring three chorus performances)
a duet song by Robbi Atkins
male vocalist:
Hey there honey time to make a list
of the things we must get done.
No time to slow down and breathe
When we have to be on the run.
errands and appointments
They just never seem to end.
Bills to pay and carpools
And keeping up with all your friends
prechorus female
Hey honey, I’ll surely try
But it’s hard
and I’m tired
And the time it just flies
chorus 1 (female)
And please don’t forget to see me
Instead of looking through.
And when you’re keeping score of all
you think I didn’t do………
Remember that I try my best
with what I have to give.
And there’s more to life than it’s demands
In the one short one we live.

It’ a rat race, it’s two ends burning
and i’m scared i’ll disappear
So please don’t forget to love me,
don’t forget I’m here.
female vocalist verse:
Hey there honey I need more from you,
I’m so tired of being mad.
You’re not here enough to help me out
and the kids sure miss their dad.
There are projects here that are backing up
That I can’t do alone
I need a night out I need my husband back
I need some help around this home.
prechorus

But it’s hard
And I’m tired
And the time it just flies
