Verse
Ours has been the hardest path to walk, the toughest trail,
This time around, this time around,
You and me are not to be, no not to be, this life time round
But when our eyes met, as our smiles hit
When our hands touched, then our fire lit
While our lips joined, those lived life times
Came tumbling down on us again
Chorus
And yes, I still surrender, coming back once more together,
And you my dearest friend, you and me never end,
But it’s too late this time, you chose another one
This time around
Verse 2
Many years, holding on, hanging on, together holding on,
Long days now, don’t you know? Too many this time round,
But then our time flew, with no place to be,
There’s no honest space for you and me,
Without hurting us, time to let it be
Close it right back down again,
Chorus
And yes, I still surrender, coming back once more together,
And you my dearest friend, you and me never end,
But it’s too late this time, you chose another one
This time around
(Repeat with counter vocal improvisation ‘this time around, this time around, close us right back down again , my dearest friend, I surrender, I do surrender etc to end of track.)
