Backstory:

Began thinking about writing a summer song - it kind of developed into that but with a bit of a mysical twist to the story. In working together to produce the melody we came up with a kind latin feel to it.
It has got good feedback from coach 3002 and made the songu top tier list for 2021 with 3(As) tho the coach felt it had more limited commercial viability as it would only suit certain artists -  the kind who mostly write their own stuff. 
It also got a 4 and highly commended in U.K. song contest in 2019 so is probably one of our stronger compositions. 

Sara has suggested we try to improve the quality of production of our better songs to present them . This is fair as we are not particularly adept at home recording. This version was one of the first batch of home produced songs we ever did on audacity over 2018/19.
This year (2022) we are trying Reaper as a better recording home programme so we will try to re-record this and looking for help in what things we can do to make it better production wise and improve the vocal delivery. We are not professional singers). We use a drum machine not drums but other instruments played by Paul. 

Sara fed back recently :  you need to make sure the songs are written well AND the production – even if it’s a sparse or simple production- it is of a high quality. Simple singer-songwriter songs, foreign language songs, “non-radio” genre songs are all used in sync placements. But they have to be presented correctly. She suggested coaches who are good to work with to get a more competitive song in this area.
One of the coaches Sara suggested was Alan Roy Scott.  Alan has given us helpful feedback on two other songs - Liar which also was a 4 grade in the uk contest.  And With you which was a weaker song at a grade 3.
