    Backstory:
    Hello,
We started writing this song from the angle of a person struggling to let go of a person they care about who has addictions issues. In the music, we tried to capture the anxiety, uncertainty and the dreaded feeling someone has when they feel torn apart but know deep down they are doing the right thing.

    Thank you for listening,
    Rhonda

    Lyrics:

AUTUMN LEAVES (J. Delaurier/R. Pisanello) I hear you standing on the steps, calling out my name Silent, I try not to move, so you’ll just go away If I answer you now it’ll be just like it always was before I imagine how you feel, as your footsteps fade But my love could never be enough if you don’t wanna change And I can't let you bring the mess you’ve made to my door, anymore I've lost count, of how many times I've bailed you out Like a twister we go round and round, broken pieces everywhere Like autumn leaves when they fall Our lives have scattered all directions Shattered by addiction That's stealing you from me Feels like time is running out And it’s all tumbling down Everything’s changing, everything’s fading Like autumn leaves when they fall All the days I drove around just to make sure you’re ok And the nights that I spend laying, praying God will keep you safe I hope someone somewhere says a little prayer for me, cuz I believe That someday, you'll know why I need to walk away Oh I guess that’s why they say to fear less means to love more Like autumn leaves when they fall Our lives have scattered all directions Shattered, by addiction That's stealing you from me Feels like time is running out And it’s all tumbling down Everything’s changing, everything’s fading Like autumn leaves when they fall Got to let you go, I know it’s time Got to let you fall, to let you fly... Like autumn leaves Like autumn leaves (ahh)
