While sitting in a church pew thoughts rolling in my head
About what dad had done and some things he said
Wasn’t till I got up to give the eulogy
I decided to share those things that he taught me
As I looked at all those gathered in Gods place
I spoke his words and prayed for saving grace

Was nice to be around friends and namesakes
As we all start to leave with hugs and handshakes 
I open up the door and start to step outside
And begin to wipe away the tears I cried
While the choir starts to sing amazing grace
I close my eyes and I can see his face
