    Backstory:
This is a song I wrote after being inspired by "Brother, Where Art Thou." I just wanted to write a blue grass song.

    Lyrics:

It was long ago when the sun did shine darkness came for a long, long time. Bright sun used to warm upon my face, but now eternal rains fill this place. (W/Back) Now eternal rains fill this place. (Cho) Muddy waters risin’ up on me Could be drowned and gone to be, I’m about to get myself stuck, in the river’s bottom muck. (W/Back) In the river’s bottom muck. Yesterday, things were looking good. But my luck ran away from where I stood. Now my tomorrow’s gone away. Seems the Lord is callin’ my name. (W/Back) Seems the Lord is callin’ my name. (Repeat Cho) (Instrumental) My soul may rise ‘fore the water recedes. From the water get the rest I need. I may drift away to my end, find my peace in the river’s bend (W/Back) Find my peace in the river’s bend (Repeat Cho) I’ll see the glory of heaven’s gates, Fall down on my knees as I pray. I hope worthy judgment finds my end, kinder than this cruel world’s been. (W/Back) Kinder than this cruel world’s been. (Repeat Cho)
