Backstory:

Before she became my wife, she spent the night with me for the very first time, and had to leave very early the next morning. I saw this hair on her pillow and thought  'What if this never happens again?' and all I have left to remind me of this night is this one hair and a memory.  I didn't go back to bed until I had written the lyric.
