JESUS STOOD STILL
Vs 1
Jesus walked along, down that dusty road, as He went out to Jericho
''Round the Lord, the crowd swirled like a tempest-tossed, ahead lay suffering and the cross
Bartimaeus sat by the road that day -- he was blind when Jesus passed his way
Then he cried, "Son of David, please have mercy on me."

Chorus
Then Jesus stood still. Jesus stood still
The King who came to earth a sacrifice for sin
Stopped where he was and cared for him
God wants to remind us: His love was revealed, when Jesus stood still

Vs 2
Just like Bartimaeus I was in the dark, nothing to guide me but my heart
I followed as it led me down a broken road, ‘till there was no place left to go
One day the world became too much for me, that’s when I fell down on my knees
And I said, “Holy Spirit, please do for me what you did”

Repeat Chorus (change “Then” to “When” at the beginning)

End
The moment I surrendered to the Father’s will, Jesus stood still
