This song started from the inspiration of running half-marathons to raise money for cancer research in honor of my uncle -- however, over several great SongU feedback sessions, I've refined it to make it a bit more universal and focused on the narrator-dad relationship. Would especially appreciate feedback on the second verse and whether it works from a listener perspective. UPDATE: Subsequent to when this class was originally scheduled, I thought of a different last line for the second verse, which I put in brackets in the lyrics but did not have time to re-record.
