    Backstory:
I had this line come to me, I should name a hurricane after you; which I thought was pretty cool. I brought it to my co-write with Sarah and she created a beautiful melody to go with the story.

    Lyrics:

Hurricane After You John Cirillo (ASCAP)/Sarah Spencer (ASCAP) There’s warning signs everywhere And it’s just like you not to care The water’s dark but you pull me in And it’s just like me to drown again It’s just like me to drown again Chorus: They should name a hurricane after you Cuz I know all the damage you can do Every heart that gets in your way Is blown right into yesterday I’m livin proof They should name a hurricane after you When you come around the sun won’t show You’re a bitter wind that always blows There’s no safe place to go get warm When I’m caught in the eye of your storm When I’m caught in the eye of your storm Bridge: And just like that you’ll move on I’ll recover when you’re gone But it hurts so long You’ll roll back in looking for a fight We’re thunder n’ lightning in the night When morning comes I’m not the same But you still leave me whisperin your name I’m still whisperin your name © 2019 john.cirillo@gmail.com/831.359.0161
