Backstory:

One of my earlier collaborations based on a lyric by Kent Newsome. I tweaked the second verse and chorus, and wrote the melody and music. Recorded at Garrick Alden Studios in Laurel, MD.

I stood in the rain	      
The night she said goodbye.
I called out her name
But she never came outside.
