The children’s choir is singin’ about Americas beginnin’, of those who helped push        
liberty along
Someone’s grampa on the front row is gettin’ misty eyed
Like so many others he remembers a day when freedom cried

Chorus: He’s a living stone; he took that hill with his buddies, hungry, tired and muddy
Rock by rock, hand to hand they built a firm foundation and the bedrock of the nation   
still balances upon these living stones

So many years ago, how could an eighteen year old know fightin’ for his home would be so hard?
