I'm a SC based singer/ songwriter and I focus primarily on country, Americana and Christian styles. I'm probably a lyricist first then I work on melody and the music. I'm blessed to be doing this!! I've been at it a long time!
Influences I would have to say my main musical influences growing up were the Beatles, then as I started playing in bands I did the Rolling Stones, The Eagles, Allman Bros, even played Ramsey Lewis Trio stuff. I migrated towards country doing Toby Kieth, Brooks and Dunn, George Strait etc. Love Mary Chapin Carpenter's tunes especially the lyrics. I listened to everything that appealed to me.

I was out West a while back and I noticed so many homeless folks. I guess a lot of them had come there to follow a dream that was not realistic, it was just a dream. I wrote this in response to what I saw.

Backstory
I started doing some part time work for an old friend that recently went through a divorce and I have a sister in law that had the same thing happen. I myself, faced the same issue. I wanted to write something that addressed the issue and offers encouragement. When the loneliness is overwhelming at times and the ache is there trying to understand why, God is there, even sometimes in the silence, but most of the time in those closest to us that offer their support which is evidence of Christ walking with us.

YOU SEE BEFORE US

This is a cowrite effort that was done a while back. The title idea came from a thought I had when flying at night. Coming in or taking off, looking out the window and seeing the cars below and thinking that the passengers in those cars can only see what the light illuminates before them but from my vantage point above them, I could see what is before them that they can't see. God has that same vantage point in our lives.
