WRONG GOODBYE
Lee Kennedy / Paul McCulley

[Intro]
That was the WRONG GOODBYE
Shoulda been “take your time”
Shoulda been, baby…  “please don’t leave”

[Verse 1]
Friday night, we were ridin’ lightning
Thought we had the real thing
In the morning, you were leaving
Turned your head and said it ain’t workin’

[Pre- Chorus 1]
I just sat there - paralyzed
Watched you walk
Right out of my life

[Chorus]
That was the WRONG GOODBYE
Shoulda been “take your time”
Shoulda been, “baby…  please don’t leave”

Watchin’ you walk away
Sayin’ you need your space
How could you …. let us die

What a WRONG, WRONG GOODBYE

[Verse 2]
I’m rollin’ past those Broadway lights
Missin’ you on the shotgun side
Now the sunset, just ain’t the same
The more I think about it I go insane

[Pre-Chorus 2]
I Keep replaying
That mornin’
Thinking about
What could have been

[Chorus]
That was the WRONG GOODBYE
Shoulda been “take your time”
Shoulda been, baby…  “please don’t leave”

Watchin’ you walk away
Sayin’ you need your space
How could you …. let us die

[Bridge]
One more dance - I could change the night
Pull you close - make it right

[Chorus]
That was the WRONG GOODBYE
Shoulda been “take your time”
Shoulda been, “baby…  please don’t leave”

Watchin’ you walk away
Sayin’ you need your space
How could you …. let us die

What a WRONG, WRONG GOODBYE
Wrong Goodbye...

“Baby… please don’t leave”

The Neon Don't Lie

Backstory
A late-night bar conversation where someone says, "I'm fine," but the neon on their face tells a different story. The neon becomes the only honest thing in the room, revealing the truth their words won't.

Verse:
You walked in so quiet,
And ordered a drink,
Gave me that half-smile
I felt my chest sink

You looked away when we sat down
Lip quivered you started to speak
Told me some bullshit story
You knew I would never believe

Chorus:
The neon don’t lie,
Calls you out
From where you hide
You said your ok,
Then you cut my heart to pieces

The Neon don’t lie
Lights up the truth behind
Your lyin eyes
Told me you love me
As you turn around and walked away

The Neon don’t lie

Verse 2:
This empty chair
Tells me a story
There you are again
In another mans arms
Just like the leaves
Of October
You bagged me up and threw me out

Chorus:
The neon don’t lie,
Calls you out
From where you hide
You said your ok,
Then you cut my heart to pieces

The Neon don’t lie
Lights up the truth behind
Your lyin eyes
Told me you love me
As you turn around and walked away

IN THE MARGINS

Plays: 38
Backstory
"In the Margins" is an upbeat, clap along Christian Americana song about a mother's faith and the legacy she leaves behind. Long after she's gone, her handwritten notes become a living testimony, guiding her family back to the Savior she loved.

Sometimes the deepest truths aren't just found in Scripture... they're found in the margins.
Lyrics
In The Margins
Lee Kennedy / John Williams

[Verse]
Momma was a fixture,
Couldn’t miss her
In the front row of her church
Her King James Bible, yellow highlighter,
In the bottom of her purse
Sermon began, pencil in hand
Made sure she understood
Underlining, quickly writing,
In the margins of that Book.

[Chorus]
In the margins …
Momma wrote down every point that preacher made

In the margins …
Momma’s notes illuminated God’s word on every page

Cause there is nothing better
Shining light on those red letters
Pointing to a Savior you can trust in

In the margins

[Verse]
When momma passed, found her old Bible
On her bedside table
Well worn, a few pages torn,
Her lifetime holy labor
Seein’ her handwriting,
Made it feel like she was talking to me
Finally realized, Jesus came alive,
In the margins set me free

[Chorus]
In the margins …
Momma wrote down every point that preacher made

In the margins …
Momma’s notes illuminated God’s word on every page

Cause there is nothing better
Shining light on those red letters
Pointing to a Savior you can trust in

In the margins

[Bridge]
Whenever I start missing momma,
Just pick up her ole Bible,
Turning those well-worn pages, like … a Holy Ghost revival.

[Chorus]
In the margins …
Momma wrote down every point that preacher made

In the margins …
Momma’s notes illuminated God’s word on every page

Cause there is nothing better
Shining light on those red letters
Pointing to a Savior you can trust in

In the margins …
Momma wrote down every point that preacher made

In the margins …
Momma’s notes illuminated God’s word on every page

Cause there is nothing better
Shining light on those red letters
Pointing to a Savior you can trust in

In the margins

In the margins.

Prepare the Temple

Plays: 10
Backstory
"Prepare the Temple" is a soulful Christian song inspired by Jesus cleansing the temple, turning that powerful moment into a personal prayer. It's a call to surrender, renewal, and making room for God's presence to move within us once again.

Sometimes revival begins with one heart.
Lyrics
PREPARE THE TEMPLE
(Paul McCulley / Lee Kennedy)
©2025

V1
Jesus walked into the courtyard
Heard the merchants shout and trade
Doves and coins in holy places
He could see the love had strayed

Righteous fire burned within Him
He wove the cords and cleared the floor
What He drove out from that temple
Made a way for the Lord

CH
Prepare the Temple
Turn over the tables of sin
Prepare the Temple
Let Your Spirit move within

V2
Jesus stands before me now
Seeing every hidden drive
All the pride and vain ambition
Crowding out His holy life

Yet His mercy doesn’t leave me
He restores what’s been defiled
This heart is now His dwelling
Make it pure and reconciled

CH
Prepare the Temple
Turn over the tables of sin
Prepare the Temple
Let Your Spirit move within
Prepare the Temple
Break the chains I’ve known
Prepare the Temple
Come and take Your throne

BR
You see behind my walls, O Lord
No secret’s out of sight
You shine into the darkest place
And call me to the light

Final CH
Prepare the Temple
Turn over the tables again
Prepare the Temple
Let revival now begin
Prepare the Temple
Make this heart Your home
Prepare the Temple
God, take Your throne

STILL MY SOUL

Plays: 41
Backstory
"Still My Soul" is a modern worship song for anyone who's wrestled with anxiety, uncertainty, or the feeling that heaven has gone quiet. Instead of promising instant breakthroughs, it leads listeners to something deeper—the quiet confidence that God's presence is enough, even when life doesn't make sense.

Still My Soul creates space for listeners to lay down their fears, slow their racing thoughts, and rediscover rest in God's unchanging character.

Some songs answer questions...This one helps people breathe.

And come back when I’m afraid
I don’t always feel you near
But I choose to stay right here

In You I am blessed

SAVED ME ON A TUESDAY

Plays: 7
Backstory
What if the day that changed your life... looked like every other day?

"Saved Me on a Tuesday" is a reflective Christian country song that reminds us God's grace doesn't wait for Sunday morning. It meets us in ordinary moments—when we're worn out, searching, and simply trying to make it through.

Because sometimes the holiest moment of your life happens on the most ordinary day.
Lyrics
Saved Me on a Tuesday
©2025 Lee Kennedy

Verse 1:
Coffee gone cold
Sittin’ on the sink
Radio ramblin’ ’bout things
I don’t wanna think

Wasn’t sayin’ a prayer,
Wasn’t lookin’ for a sign
Just holdin’ on,
One minute at a time

Chorus:
Didn’t save me in a church pew
With my hands held up high
Didn’t wait till I was ready
Didn’t wait till I was fine

I was tired and empty
Just tryin’ to make it through
Yeah, that day wasn’t holy
But He saved me
Saved me on a Tuesday

Verse 2:
Thought faith was pretty dresses
and singing Sunday songs
Thinkin’ I knew all the words
Like it came without a cost
I didn’t have the faith in me
To reach out that far
But He found me anyway
right where I was

Chorus:
Didn’t save me in a church pew
With my hands held up high
Didn’t wait till I was ready
Didn’t wait till I was fine

I was tired and empty
Just tryin’ to make it through
Yeah, that day wasn’t holy
But He saved me
Saved me on a Tuesday

Bridge:
Maybe mercy doesn’t need a Sunday
Maybe hope don’t follow rules
Maybe grace shows up in the quiet
When you ain’t got nothin’ left to prove

Final Chorus:
Didn’t save me in a church pew
Or when the answers finally came
Didn’t wait till I was ready
Didn’t turn His face away

I was tired, I was empty
Just tryin’ to make it through
Yeah, that day wasn’t holy
But He saved me

Saved me on a Tuesday

Saved me on a Tuesday

Right Here Right Now (Song Start)

Plays: 5
Backstory
I originally wrote this with the 2819 Church in mind. I spent some time with their content and sermons, and what really stuck with me was the passion in the Paster Mitchell’s messages. He always speaks with such urgency, I kept hearing “Right Here Right Now” – so here is what came of that.

Here is just a verse and chorus, I wanted to leave room for anyone to build and put their own voice on it. I did pitch this to Lindsey O’Halloran in January, she liked it but it didn't fit the pitch.
Lyrics
Right Here Right Now (Song Start)

Verse 1:
We walk in carrying questions
Held together by Your grace
You meet us where we are standing
Not perfect, still You stay

Pre Chorus:
Your Spirit moving through us
When we lose our way
We lift the name of Jesus
Raise our hands in praise

Chorus:
Right here, right now, Your kingdom’s moving
Right here, right now, We stand in glory
Right here, right now, Your kingdom’s moving
Right here, right now,

V1
One stoplight is all that it took
This Ole’ town grabbed me
like a fish on a hook
Back Roads windin’
Through the Misty moonlight
I saw Otis cookin his shine

Chorus
Hold on to those Mayberry Moments
Sundays are my day to rest
Front porch lights and picket fences
Addin' feathers to my nest
Hold on

V2
Grab my fishin' pole, goin' down the Ol’ creek
Picnic basket filled with Aunt Bee’s treats
Bluegrass playin', love that Darlin’ sound
There ain't no better life to be found

Chorus
Hold on to those Mayberry Moments
Sunday is my day to rest
Front porch lights and picket fences
Addin' feathers to my nest

Hold on to those Mayberry Moments
Folks all care, and I feel blessed
One stop sign, Magic sunsets
Small town life is the very best

Bridge
People drop their pretenses
Let that fast life disappear
Stars above are my canvas
I never want to leave here

Chorus
Hold on to those Mayberry moments
City life moves way too fast
Living in a time of innocence
Some folks think I live in the past

Hold on to those Mayberry Moments
Sunday is our day to rest
Front porch lights and picket fences
Addin' feathers to your nest

Hold on to those Mayberry Moments
Folks all care, and I feel blessed
One stop sign, Magic sunsets
Small town life is the very best

Hold on to your Mayberry Moments

HERE I AM

Plays: 2
Backstory
A road-worn songwriter chases a dream that never quite feels like enough—until he realizes every mile, every empty room, and every song was part of a bigger plan. “Here I Am” is the moment he stops striving, takes God’s hand, and understands he was never alone.

Verse 1:
4 O’clock in the morning
100 miles to go
Another nameless city
Another empty show
Every night - I open my soul
To judgement and it’s sting

My spirit starts to sing

Lord ~ Here I Am
You gave me the words
To finally be heard
Courage to make my stand
Oh Lord ~ Here I Am
I pushed through the doubt
To find my way out
I finally took your hand
Here I Am

Verse 2:
From the Bluebird in Nashville
To the Mint in LA
Years fly by ~ I sing my songs
Leaving my heart ~ on every stage
Always find ~ Lord's by my side
Feels like coming home
Through his grace ~ come’s one more song
That everyone will know

Chorus:
Lord ~ Here I Am

To finally be heard
Courage to make my stand
Oh Lord ~ Here I Am

I pushed through the doubt
To find my way out
I finally took your hand

Baby You Folded

Plays: 8
Backstory
"Baby You Folded" is an upbeat country heartbreak song that turns the language of poker into a story of someone who risks everything, believing they're building a future, while the other quietly walks away from the table.

Built around the unforgettable hook, "I went all in... baby you folded," the song blends clever wordplay, country attitude, and a message anyone who's ever loved the wrong person can relate to.

Some hands are worth betting on...Some people aren't.
Lyrics
All In (Baby You Folded)
Kennedy/McCulley

V1
I laid my cards down, hearts on the table
Pushed all my chips in for your love to be stable
Thought we had a hand worth holdin’ tight
Didn’t see you slippin’ outta sight

PRE
Shoulda known you’d called my bluff
You raised the stakes, then called it off

CH
I went all in, pushed my luck
Gave you my heart, but it wasn’t enough
Thought this love was worth choosin’
The hand I held, Kept on losin’
You had an ace, but let it go
I bet on us, and you went cold
I went all in … baby you folded

V2
You had a tell… but I missed the sign
You sure smiled sweet, with lies in your eyes
Stacked the deck with words so smooth
Shoulda known you’d cut and move

PRE2
My gut told me me this deal’s no good
But I played my hand like I thought I should

CH
I went all in, pushed my luck
Gave you my heart, but it wasn’t enough
Thought this love was worth choosin’
The hand I held, Kept on losin’
You had an ace, but let it go
I bet on us, and you went cold
I went all in … baby you folded

BRIDGE
I went all in, gave it my best
Thought we were different from all the rest
But love ain’t real when it’s one-sided
I ain't the fool who keeps on tryin'
So take your chips and hit the road
I bet on us, but now I know

CH
I went all in, pushed my luck
Gave you my heart, but it wasn’t enough
Thought this love was worth choosin’
The hand I held, Kept on losin’
You had an ace, but let it go
I bet on us, and you went cold
I went all in … baby you folded

[Outro]
Baby you folded
Baby you folded
Baby you folded
Yeah, I went all in…

Hold On

Plays: 3
Backstory
"Hold On" is a driving Christian acoustic rock anthem about fighting through fear, doubt, and despair while clinging to the promise that God never lets go. Through powerful imagery and an unforgettable chorus—"Hold On... Help is on the way"—the song reminds us that even in our deepest struggles, hope is closer than it seems.

Sometimes the greatest act of faith is simply holding on.
Lyrics
HOLD ON
© 2022 Lee Kennedy

Step through the midnight
Feet are damp and cold
Reaching the waters edge
Moon lights up the shore
Gaze across the river
Take one step and fall
Slip below the cold cold water
Hear my angels call?

Chorus 1:?
Hold On
Help is on the way
Hold On
In Jesus name we pray

Verse 2:
Sink into darkness
Hear a muffled cry
See a figure stand alone
Begging me to try
From the muddy water
I feel a tear drop fall
Hand reaches out to me
Voice begins to call

Chorus 2:?
Hold On
Help is on the way
Hold On
In Jesus name we pray

Bridge:
Fear not the dark ~ seek the light
For salvations ~ within sight
Hold onto love ~ Deep in your soul
There lies courage ~ for the fight

Verse 3:
Feeling the pressure
God I can not breathe
But there’s a light above
Only I can see
I breach the water
Reaching for the sky
Pulled myself to the shore
As the angels cry

Chorus 2:?
Hold On
Help is on the way
Hold On
In Jesus name we pray

“Already Lit” is a high-octane country breakup anthem about burning a bridge you’ve got no intention of crossing again.
Lyrics
Already Lit
(Lee Kennedy/Paul McCulley)
©2025

[Verse 1]
Here stands a For Sale sign
Hammered crooked in the dirt
Keys on the counter
Nothing you say’s gonna work

It’s one last time, I walk out that door
Strike that match, won’t even blink
Make a clean getaway
That’s 500 bucks
of Goodyear…smokin’ off the street

[Chorus]
I Showed you my taillights ‘cause “that’s all she wrote”
Burning Rubber on this bridge
Pushing 400 horses straight through the smoke
You can keep your “sorry” - I quit

I ain’t crossin’ back over this county line
Don’t bother me not nary a lick
Won’t ever see me waving goodbye
Burning Rubber on a Bridge…  I Already Lit

[Verse 2]
Burned a year of Fridays
Always tryna talk it through
Wasted time in that driveway
My head spinning like a fool

One last chance, one more time
I knew what I had to do
Rolled my windows down, cranked my music up
Now my floorboard’s buzzin’ under my boots

[Chorus]
I Showed you my taillights ‘cause “that’s all she wrote”
Burning Rubber on this bridge
Pushing 400 horses straight through the smoke
You can keep your “sorry” - I quit

I ain’t crossin’ back over this county line
Don’t bother me not nary a lick
Won’t ever see me waving goodbye
Burning Rubber on a Bridge…  I Already Lit

[Bridge]
You and me are history
Watch it burn
Now highway white lines… are just a blur

[Chorus]
I Showed you my taillights ‘cause “that’s all she wrote”
Burning Rubber on this bridge
Pushing 400 horses straight through the smoke
You can keep your “sorry” - I quit

I ain’t crossin’ back over this county line
Don’t bother me not nary a lick
Won’t ever see me waving goodbye
Burning Rubber on a Bridge…  I Already Lit

I already lit
I already lit
I watched it burn

I was playin’ cards with my buddy Jim

But he’s too hard-headed to tell

V2

Racked up debt on the next best thing
Talked a big game, liked livin’ large

Now the repo man’s parked in his yard
Ray always blames his bad cards
Truth is, he just spun the wheel

Some folks walk a straight white line
Some chase trouble every time
