NEVER ON MY OWN

Plays: 30
Backstory
Never On My Own is about hitting rock bottom and realizing later that you were being carried the whole time. It tells the story of someone struggling to make ends meet, feeling alone, until life slowly opens up—new purpose, family, and gratitude. It’s a reminder that even when we can’t see the path, grace is still working, and we’re never really walking by ourselves.

Never on my own
Verse 1
Final Notice on the counter Truck note 3 weeks late
Didn’t know how much longer I could carry on this way
Gas light blinkin' orange, payday seems miles away,
I asked God if he could help me, just lead me on my way
Pre-Chorus
All this time there was a hand I couldn't see
Was here guiding all along, quietly
Chorus
I didn’t see it then
The way I see it now
I thought I walked alone
Prayin' someday I'd be found
Then some closed doors began to open
Always felt they were set in stone
What I didn’t know then
I was never on my own
Verse 2
Now I've got little boots in the gravel
“Daddy!” yelling down the drive
Says she wants to build a castle
Man, it feels so good to be alive
PreChorus
Some nights I just sit back and let it all sink in
That life I once prayed for I'm now living in
Chorus
I didn’t see it then
The way I see it now
I thought I walked alone
Prayin' someday I'd be found
And then closed doors began to open
Always felt they were set in stone
What I didn’t know then
I was never on my own
Bridge
Every road I travel led me where I stand,
Every wrong turn seemed to fit into his plan
Looking back now I can finally understand,
He never let me go,
I was never on my own.
Chorus
I didn’t see it then
The way I see it now
I thought I walked alone
Prayin' someday I'd be found
Then some closed doors began to open
Always felt they were set in stone
What I didn’t know then
I was never on my own

Blue Collar Halos

Plays: 9
Backstory
This song was inspired by the kind of hero that never makes the news. The men and women who don’t have uniforms that draw attention, but whose work keeps communities going when everything falls apart. During storms, floods, wildfires, and the everyday emergencies that never trend online, they’re the ones climbing power poles, stacking sandbags, checking on neighbors, and risking themselves to keep everyone else safe. They don’t wear wings or halos—but if you look close enough, you’ll see they’ve had them all along. Blue-Collar Halo is a tribute to the quiet heroes in every small town and big city who hold the world together when no one is watching.
Lyrics
Blue-Collar Halos
Verse 1
Rain cuts sideways, streets gone dark
Johnny’s in a bucket truck lighting up the park
Billy’s running boxcars, movin' town supplies
Eddie's stackin' sandbags as the rivers rise
Pre-Chorus 1
No cameras roll, no headline signs
Just some hometown folks who put it all on the line
Chorus
If you ever wonder what an angel looks like
Just look around—right there in plain sight
Always there when we need ’em most
Through storm and flame from coast to coast
And in our darkest night we can count on them to show
They got blue-collar halos
Verse 2
Jake’s cuttin’ fences while the thunder rolls
Movin' all the cattle and prayin' those levies hold
Deputy Luke checks on folks in the rain-soaked town
Fire crew riskin’ their lives on a power line down
Pre-Chorus 2
No flashbulbs pop, no headlines made
No corner office, no ticker-tape parade
Chorus
If you ever wonder what an angel looks like
Just look around—right there in plain sight
Always there when we need ’em most
Through storm and flame from coast to coast
And through our darkest night we can count on them to show
They got blue-collar halos
Instrumental Break
Final Chorus / Outro
If you ever wonder what an angel looks like
Just look around—right there in plain sight
Always there when we need ’em most
Through storm and flame from coast to coast
And in our darkest night we count on them to show
They got blue-collar halos They got blue-collar halos They got blue-collar halos

Musta been wrong

Plays: 5
Backstory
Musta Been Wrong is the story of every songwriter, dreamer, and small-town kid who got told they’d never make it. It’s about the long nights, the empty rooms, the rejections behind closed doors — and the belief that doesn’t quit even when everyone else does. The song follows a kid who left home for Nashville chasing something only he could see. He slept on couches, played cheap guitars, heard “no” more times than anyone should — but he never stopped showing up. And one day, the doors opened. This song is for the ones who keep going when the world says don’t. For the proof that sometimes the only thing separating “no chance” and “dream come true” is refusing to go back home.
Lyrics
Musta been wrong
[verse 1]
They said that boy should’ve stayed in town,
Nashville crowds would do him in.
Dreams don’t last when the wheels break down,
He’ll soon be back home again.
He crashed on couches, slept in cars
Loaded out at the break of dawn
Played his heart out on a pawn-shop guitar —
The one thing he counted on.
[Chorus 1]
They musta been wrong,
Said he didn’t have all the right songs,
Said the road would break him down
And he'd come runnin' back to town
Now he’s where the bright lights shine,
Crowds sing along line for line.
And the radio keeps playin’ all his songs —
Yeah, they musta been wrong.
[Verse 2 ]
He sat across from men in suits
Music row framed in glass
Said "kid you're not ready to break on through”
So for us today it's a pass
Said you don't play the style they want
Your songs don't test that strong
No label will put you out front
No station to bring you on
[Chorus 2 – ]
They musta been wrong,
Said he didn’t have all the right songs,
Said the road would break him down
And he'd come runnin' back to town
Now he’s where the bright lights shine,
Crowds sing along line for line.
And the radio keeps playin’ all his songs —
Yeah, they musta been wrong.
[Bridge]
He took the hits and heard all the talk,
Kept showin’ up ’til the doors unlocked,
A thousand “no’s” before one “yes.”
Gave all he had nothin’ less.
[Final Chorus – ]
They musta been wrong,
Said he didn’t have all the right songs,
Said the road would break him down
And he'd come runnin' back to town
Now he’s where the bright lights shine,
Crowds sing along line for line.
And the radio keeps playin’ all his songs —
Yeah, they musta been wrong.
They musta been wrong
They musta been wrong

READ BETWEEN THE WINES

Plays: 10
Backstory
“Read Between the Wines” is about a couple that knows each other down to the smallest details — even the way they pour a glass says something. Some people talk when they’re stressed, some go quiet. In this relationship, she changes wines. Red means she’s had a day and needs a soft place to land. White means the world’s lighter and the night’s about to be good. He’s not pushing, not prying — he’s just tuned in. It’s a song about how real connection is in the little things, the unspoken cues, the reading-each-other-without-words kind of love.
Lyrics
Read between the wines
Verse 1
You smile and say your day's been alright
Little different in the way it sounds tonight
You laugh too quick, then you sip your wine
I know you too well — and you ain’t fine
First glass poured and it's a Cabernet
when you're drinkin' red wine, it's been a tough day
I know you too well — seen this all before
Now I know tonight there's somethin' more
Pre-Chorus
You keep sayin’ nothin’s wrong
But girl, I can feel it all night long
Chorus
You can’t hide in your Cabernet
That smile of yours gives you away
Every sip’s another message sent
Empty words that came and went
I can see right through, you can't disguise
The plain truth right there in your eyes
You don’t have to speak what’s on your mind
Cuz I can read between the wines
Verse 2
Next day I walk in, you're pourin’ white wine
And the way you're laughin’ eased my mind
When I see that glass I know the rest
It's gonna be a night I won't forget
You're kicked back smilin' your easy way
And I'm damn sure glad I didn't show up late
You say you're good it hits different now
And all of your troubles are gone somehow

Pre-Chorus 2
Swirl that glass nice and slow
That tells me all I need to know
Chorus
You can't hide in your Chardonnay
That smile of yours gives you away
Every sip’s another message sent
All your troubles came and went
I can see right through, you can't disguise
The plain truth right there in your eyes
You don’t have to speak what’s on your mind
Cuz I can read between the wines
Bridge
I see it now it took me a minute
Red's a long day, white we're in it
Don't gotta ask, Don't gotta guess
That glass tells me what's comin' next
Chorus
I can see right through, you can't disguise
The plain truth right there in your eyes
You don’t have to speak what’s on your mind
Cuz I can read between the wines
yeah I can read between the wines

We don't get to say that anymore

Plays: 18
Backstory
We Don’t Get to Say That Anymore is about two people who once loved each other deeply and tried to stay friends after the breakup. They meet up, thinking they’re okay—thinking time has smoothed things out. For a moment, it even feels like old times again. But then one of them slips and says “I love you” without thinking. And just like that, they’re reminded of all the things that used to belong to them, but don’t anymore.
This song sits in that quiet heartbreak—where there isn’t anger, blame, or a dramatic ending. Just the realization that some doors don’t reopen, even if the feelings still flicker. It’s about growing up, letting go, and understanding that love can still exist… but it doesn't mean it gets to stay.
Lyrics
We don’t get to say that anymore
Verse 1
I didn’t mean to say it — just slipped out,
You were laughing let my guard down.
That same booth like nothing changed,
Just for a moment, it felt the same.
Pre-Chorus
As soon as it happened, the air got strange,
I stepped into something words can't change
Chorus (soft, breathy, not belted)
I forgot for a moment who we are now,
Said “I love you” and it's out now
Said more than I meant to say—
You just smiled and looked away
Some things spoken stay in the open
Can't go back cuz now we're broken
Used to feel right but now it's torn
we don't get to say that anymore
we don't get to say that anymore
Verse 2
We said we'd meet to clear the air
It felt so right just being there
Seemed like our life before
But no it's not ours no more
Pre-Chorus
Driving home, kept replayin' again and again
Every word I should’ve swallowed instead.

Chorus
I forgot for a moment who we are now,
Said “I love you” and it's out now
Said more than I meant to say—
you just smiled and looked away
Some things spoken stay in the open
Can't go back cuz now we're broken
Used to feel right but now it's torn
We don't get to say that anymore
We don't get to say that anymore
Bridge
I’m not mad at you for moving on.
Gave your best and you're not wrong
Didn't give up we ran out of road
We're doing just fine on our own
Final Chorus
I forgot for a moment who we are now,
Said “I love you” and it's out now
Said more than I meant to say—
You didn't answer anyway
Some things spoken stay in the open
Can't go back cuz now we're broken
Used to feel right but now it's torn
We don't get to say that anymore
We don't get to say that anymore

We'd all be famous by now

Plays: 5
Backstory
We’d All Be Famous By Now comes from those wild small-town nights before anybody had a camera in their pocket. It’s about that crew of friends who made their own fun out on county roads — drag-racing tractors, running trucks through gravel pits, daring each other to go just a little faster, a little louder, a little dumber. None of it was recorded, posted, or saved. It only lived in the stories told around tailgates and bonfires. The song is a tribute to the kind of memories that would go viral today — the ones that would’ve made legends out of a bunch of kids who were just trying to outrun boredom and the future. It’s about the glory of being young, reckless, and alive in a world before the world was watching.
Lyrics
We’d all be famous by now
[Verse 1]
That night we drag-raced tractors down County Road 10,
Bobby lost a tire but still hung on to win.
The streetlights shook we laid it down,
Engines screamed outside of town.
Got no proof but we sure owned it
no phones out, no cameras rollin’,
[Chorus]
If all those hell-raisin’ nights we powered through (powered through)
Were filmed, streamed, or thrown up on YouTube (thrown on YouTube)
We’d have fat checks, merch, our own back-road show (back-road show)
We’ve been sittin’ on some redneck gold.
Yeah, every stunt, every dare, and every “holy cow” (holy cow)
We’d all be famous by now.
[Verse 2]
We’re linin’ up trucks where the gravel bends,
The tailgate drops, so let the games begin.
Revved ’em up down that county line,
Bet ten bucks I'd beat your time.
Laughin’ hard ’til the cops roll through,
Wave ’em off like we always do.
Ain’t growin’ up, never learned how,
Still runnin’ wide burnin’ it down
[Chorus]
If all those hell-raisin’ nights we powered through (powered through)
Were filmed, streamed, or thrown up on YouTube (thrown on YouTube)
We’d have fat checks, merch, our own back-road show (back-road show)
We’ve been sittin’ on some redneck gold.
Yeah, every stunt, every dare, and every “holy cow,”
We’d all be famous by now.
[Final Chorus / Outro]
If all those hell-raisin’ nights we powered through (powered through)
Hit TikTok, Snap, or the evenin’ news (evenin’ news)
We’d have fat checks, merch, our own back-road show (back-road show)
We’ve been sittin’ on some redneck gold.
Every stunt, every dare, and every “holy cow,”
We’d all be famous —
We’d all be famous by now
We’d all be famous by now

This is how we do

Plays: 3
Backstory
This song came from those summers where you don’t have to talk about what you are — you just keep ending up in the same spot together. It’s not a big love story and it’s not a heartbreak; it’s that easy, familiar rhythm with someone who fits into your life without either of you trying. The dock in this song isn’t a vacation moment — it’s home turf. It’s that place you’ve both gone to a thousand times, long before you had words for it. This is the kind of relationship Luke has always sung best — simple, real, unspoken, and already understood.
Lyrics
This is how we do
Verse 1
Same old dock with the boards worn thin
Cooler in the shade, warm breeze rollin’ in
Take that sunny spot like you always do
I see you smile, I'm right there with you
Dip our toes where the water curls
Killin time in our own little world
Ain’t no reason, this ain’t nothin’ new
It's just how we do
Chorus
We ain't tryna name it, that's the truth
No label needed, just me and you
Sun sittin' low, that same old view
Bare feet swingin’, just us two
We don't gotta talk it all the way through
Baby, that's just how we do
Yeah, that's how we do
Verse 2
You say, “Not stayin’ long,” with that grin
But we have no idea how this day will end
Cooler lid squeakin when you reach in
Crack me one open let the day begin
Time melts when the light gets gold
Same song playin’ on your phone
Ain’t a promise, ain't a thing we choose
This is how we do
Chorus
We ain't tryna name it, that's the truth
No label needed, just me and you
Sun sittin' low, that same old view
Bare feet swingin’, just us two
We don't gotta talk it all the way through
Baby, that's just how we do
Yeah, that's how we do
Bridge
No rush, no clock to beat
Let the water kiss your feet
If it feels good, let it be
And that will be alright with me
Final Chorus
We ain't tryna name it, that's the truth
No label needed, just me and you
Every time, we end up right here, it's true
Baby, that's just how we do
Yeah, , that's just how we do—
Yeah that's how we do

Who I thought you were

Plays: 13
Backstory
Who I Thought You Were is a post-breakup truth-telling anthem where the narrator realizes she’s not actually mourning the relationship—she’s grieving the version of him she created in her head. It hits that emotional crossroads where love turns into clarity. The hook pivots on the idea that she didn’t lose him—she lost the idea of who he could have been, and that hurts in a different way. When the cheating comes to light, the spell breaks, and she stands firm in that realization without bitterness or self-pity. It’s confident, vulnerable, and relatable for anyone who has ever stayed too long because they believed in someone’s potential more than the reality. Strong melody, direct language, and a clean modern country feel that fits right into today’s playlists.

Eric Blossman. – IPI 838720516. – ericblossmanmusic@gmail.com (512) 788-2502 Who I thought you were

Verse 1
You played it cool like I imagined
Swore that nothing ever happened
When she'd call, you'd go missing
Said I knew — you didn’t listen
Pre-Chorus
Said you cared but never proved it
The love we shared — you just used it
Chorus
Maybe I was blind, but I was tryin'
You were half-in love and full-time lyin'
Now you're old news and I know for sure
I don't miss you — I miss who I thought you were
Who I thought you were Who I thought you were
Verse 2
You liked me better when I took the blame
You lit the match, then cursed the flame
Thought it over — now I'm out
You messed around, I found out
Done pretending it was fine
Taking back what was mine
Pre-Chorus
Talked a big game — you never played it
We had our time, now it's faded
Chorus
Maybe I was blind, but I was tryin'
You were half-in love and full-time lyin'
Now you're old news and I know for sure
I don't miss you — I miss who I thought you were
Who I thought you were Who I thought you were
Bridge
I don’t hate you — I just see you
Now the truth's coming clear through
I’m not holding what I lived through
You're long gone — and I don't need you
Final Chorus
Maybe I was blind, but I was tryin'
You were half-in love and full-time lyin'
Now you're old news and I know for sure
I don't miss you — I miss who I thought you were
Who I thought you were Who I thought you were Who I thought you were

THE DAY FOREVER ENDED

Plays: 4
Backstory
This is a story about the quiet end — the kind that doesn’t come with a fight, just a final line crossed and a packed car pulling away before sunrise. He never thought she’d actually leave, but forever ended in the most ordinary moment: a change-of-address card by the sink, an empty side of the bed, taillights meeting the dawn. It’s about realizing too late that love slipped away in silence—and morning still comes, whether your world is breaking or not.
Lyrics
Verse 1
I guess I crossed her last red line
She boxed up what was hers, left what was mine
Change of address card curled up by the sink
We swore we'd last forever—or so we used to think

Pre-Chorus
Outside the street's a-buzzin', the mornin' grind
Inside forever has officially flatlined

Chorus
Now she's as good as gone
She kicked up the dust, never lookin' back
Her taillights met the dawn
No, she ain't never comin' back
The sunrise came like it always does
Just like God intended
Shinin' down on what once was
On the day forever ended

Verse 2
This house don't feel the same without her
The life we built now has to face the morning after
I'll miss her more than that girl will ever know
Didn't see it coming, There's no reason to let go
But she loaded in the dark gone by the break of day
That's how forever ends just pack it up and drive away

Chorus
Now she's as good as gone
She kicked up the dust, never lookin' back
Her taillights met the dawn
No, she ain't never comin' back
The sunrise came like it always does
Just like God intended
Shinin' down on what once was
On the day forever ended

Bridge
Rolled to her side of the bed and it was cold as a stone
And that's the moment I knew I'd be waking up alone

Chorus (repeat)
Now she's as good as gone
She kicked up the dust, never lookin' back
Her taillights met the dawn
No, she ain't never comin' back
The sunrise came like it always does
Just like God intended
Shinin' down on what once was
On the day forever end

Figure it out

Plays: 6
Backstory
Figure It Out is about leaving a relationship long before you physically walk away. It’s the kind of breakup where there’s no big fight, no dramatic ending — just the slow realization that you’ve gone unheard for too long. He was busy needing attention and an audience, and she learned to disappear in a crowded room. By the time she left, the goodbye had already happened inside her. It’s not bitter — it’s closure spoken calmly: I didn’t break, I didn’t fall apart… you just never noticed I was already gone. Maybe someday you’ll figure that out.
Lyrics
Figure it out
Verse 1
I didn’t say much when I left
You're too busy being yourself
So many friends but they don't know us
I slipped away you didn't notice
Pre-Chorus
And slowly I got over you
You made it so easy to do
Chorus
Yeah I won't break, I won't drown
Won’t fall apart, i won't break down
You just talk, to be heard
I need meaning in those words
Not building the same life at all
I was climbing, You're too scared to fall
It's for the best no doubt
maybe someday
you’ll figure it out
Verse 2
I sleep in late, now in my own place
Stopped watching for your name in case
You tell your friends i'll soon unravel
Can't leave the king alone in his castle
Pre-Chorus
So I sat down and wrote this note
So here is what I wrote

Chorus
Yeah I won't break, I won't drown
won't fall apart, No i won't break down
You just talk to be heard
I need meaning in those words
We weren't building the same life at all
I was climbing, You're scared to fall
It’s for the best — there's no doubt
Maybe someday
You’ll figure it out
ooh ooh
You’ll figure it out
Bridge
You called like we could rewind
Like I could just change my mind
But I'm not who I was back then
Got over you once, I won't again
Chorus
Yeah I won't break, I won't drown
Won’t fall apart, No i won't break down
You just talk to be heard
I need meaning in those words
Not building the same life at all
I was climbing, You're scared to fall
It’s for the best — no doubt
Maybe someday
You’ll figure it out
ooh ooh
You’ll figure it out
maybe someday
You’ll figure it out

Twisted

Plays: 2
Backstory
This song is about the version of yourself that only shows up when the world gets quiet. The part that you don’t post, you don’t talk about, you don’t let anyone really see. During the day, you can keep it together — you stay busy, stay distracted, stay moving. But when the night comes and the noise drops out, all the doubts and old scars start showing up again.
It’s about someone who used to be good at outrunning their past, their mistakes, their shadows — but now they realize those shadows never actually left. They just learned how to wait.
He’s not “broken,” not in the dramatic sense. He’s just a little cracked. A little worn. A little haunted by things he never sorted out. And instead of pretending to be fine, the song admits it.
Lyrics
Twisted
Verse 1
I get a little restless when the night rolls in
And I’m not helpless I’m just breaking from within
A fire deep inside burns with every doubt
Could try to escape but there’s no way out
Chorus
I get a little twisted when the night comes down
Just a little bit haunted when there’s no one around
Get a little bit reckless though I try to resist it
I’m a little bit broken
And I’m a little bit twisted
Mmm I’m a little bit twisted
Verse 2
I’m runnin’ from myself there’s nowhere left to go
Stuck inside this hell the depths I fall below
I feel the tension building crawling up my spine
It’s unforgiven and entangled in my mind
Chorus
I get a little twisted when the night comes down
Just a little bit haunted when there’s no one around
Get a little bit reckless though I try to resist it
I’m a little bit broken
And I’m a little bit twisted
Mmm I’m a little bit twisted
Verse 3
I’m flippin’ through the cracks of a never ending game
Lost within these tracks when the darkness calls my name
Fightin’ with myself again is wearing on my soul
Feel myself giving in and losing all c ontrol
Chorus
I get a little twisted when the night comes down
Just a little bit haunted when there’s no one around
Get a little bit reckless though I try to resist it
I’m a little bit broken
Just a little bit
I get a little twisted when the night comes down
Just a little bit haunted when there’s no one around
Get a little bit reckless though I try to resist it
I’m a little bit broken
And I’m a little bit twisted
Mm I’m a little bit twisted
I’m a little bit twisted
I’m a little bit twisted

Just Tuesday

Plays: 2
Backstory
This song comes from that place where life isn’t falling apart — it’s just being life. A lot of folks write about the highs and the lows, but most of living happens in the middle. It’s the days where the coffee spills, the truck’s stubborn, work’s loud, and nothing goes smooth… but you’ve been around long enough to know none of it’s worth losing your peace over. The narrator isn’t cynical and he’s not laughing it off — he just learned the hard way that a bad moment doesn’t have to be a bad day. “It’s Just Tuesday” is that quiet, grown resilience you earn only by getting knocked around a few times and still showing up. It’s a shrug, a breath, and a little bit of grace for yourself.
Lyrics
Just Tuesday
Verse 1
Woke up late, but I still made time
Truck took a minute now runnin' behind
Boss man lookin’ like he wanted a fight
I nodded and said, “Yeah, alright.”
Same ol’ story, nothin’ brand new
Seen days try harder than this one can do
I ain’t fussin’, I ain’t askin’ why
Days like this roll on by
Chorus
Ain’t the end of the world, it’s just Tuesday
Aint losin’ my cool not today
Yeah somedays ain't worth a dam
aint never gonna change who I am
I’ll shake it off like I always do
Ain’t nothin’ here breakin’ me in two
I’ve carried worse, won't wreck my day
Ain’t the end of the world, it’s just Tuesday
Verse 2
Never had a year where it all went right
Won't lose sleep tryna hold on tight
Learned quick what matters and what don’t stay
Most of it ain’t worth it anyway
So when little things stack up on me
I don’t push back — I let ’em be
when the day goes south and spins me around
I don't fold easy I stand my ground
Chorus
Ain’t the end of the world, it’s just Tuesday
Aint losin’ my cool not today
Yeah somedays ain't worth a damn
Not gonna change who I am
I’ll shake it off like I always do
Ain’t nothin’ here breakin’ me in two
I’ve carried worse, won't wreck my day
Ain’t the end of the world, it’s just Tuesday
Bridge
Good days come and rough ones go
Ain’t my first time ridin’ low
If the world shakes, let it shake
I bend some — but I don’t break
Chorus
Ain’t the end of the world, it’s just Tuesday
Aint losin’ my cool not today
Yeah some days ain't worth a dam
And not gonna change who I am
I’ll shake it off like I always do
Ain’t nothin’ here breakin’ me in two
I’ve carried worse, won't wreck my day
Ain’t the end of the world, it’s just tuesday

Learning how to let you go

Plays: 2
Backstory
“Learning How to Let You Go” comes from a woman standing in the quiet after a breakup that didn’t end in fireworks or betrayal — just two good people who couldn’t make the pieces fit anymore. There’s no anger and no one to blame, which almost makes it harder. She still reaches for him in the small moments, still catches herself wanting to share her day, still feels that tug of missing what they used to be. The song follows her through that bittersweet space where your heart hasn’t caught up to the truth your mind already knows: sometimes love isn’t enough to keep two people on the same path. It’s about the slow, honest work of letting go of someone who wasn’t wrong for you — just not right for the long haul. At its core, it captures a woman choosing acceptance over regret and learning to move forward with grace, even as part of her still wishes things had turned out differently.
Lyrics
How to let you go
{Verse 1]
I drive past our diner on Fifth and Main,
Windows down, but it don’t look the same.
Your jacket’s still hangin’ behind my door,
I keep it there, not sure what for.
[Pre-Chorus]
And I can fake a smile for show
But truth is, baby, I still don’t know—
[Chorus]
How to stop replayin’ every night,
Quit checkin’ my phone like you might write.
I’ve packed up the pieces you used to know,
Erasing your voicemails, just let them go.
They tell me to forget it just move on,
Every time I try it feels so wrong.
Sometimes I think I’ve healed, but it shows—
Still learnin’ how to let you go.
Still learnin’ how to let you go
[Verse 2]
I laugh a little louder with someone new,
But he don’t make me feel like you used to.
Talk like I’ve moved on, act like I’m fine,
Still stuck with these feelings I can’t hide.
[Pre-Chorus]
I think of all the times you held me close
It's different now I'm learning as I go
[Chorus]
How to stop replayin’ every night,
Quit checkin’ my phone like you might write.
Packing the pieces you used to know,
Erasing your voicemails, just let them go.
They tell me to forget it and just move on,
Every time I try it feels so wrong.
Sometimes I think I’ve healed, but now it shows—
Still learnin’ how to let you go.
Still learnin’ how to let you go
[Bridge]
Maybe one day I’ll mean it when I say I’m fine,
Stop looking for you name in the midnight signs
Till then I’ll keep takin’ it slow—
Still learnin’ how to let you go.
[Chorus]
How to stop replayin’ every night,
Quit checkin’ my phone like you might write.
Packing up all the pieces you used to know,
Erasing your voicemails, just let them go.
They tell me to forget it and just move on,
Every time I try it feels so wrong.
Sometimes I think I’ve healed, but now it shows—
Still learnin’ how to let you go.
Still learnin’ how to let you go

I'LL LOVE YOU FROM AMARILLO

Plays: 3
Backstory
“I’ll Love You from Amarillo” was born out of a simple truth too many people live through: sometimes you can love someone deeply and still know you don’t belong where you ended up. The song follows a West Texas woman who moved across the country for a relationship she believed in. He wasn’t a bad man—just a good-hearted guy who slowly drifted out of sync with her. Quiet nights together became quiet nights apart, and the life she tried to build never quite fit.
When she finally hits the highway back toward Amarillo, she isn’t running from him—she’s running back to the pieces of herself she left behind: family, familiarity, and the version of her that felt whole. The song isn’t bitter. It’s not a revenge anthem. It’s a grown-woman realization that love sometimes survives the breakup, but the relationship doesn’t.
At its core, the song is about choosing yourself while still holding compassion for the person you’re leaving. It’s a story of drifting apart, finding clarity, and heading home to where your heart finally feels steady again.
Lyrics
I’ll love you from Amarillo
Verse 1
Followed you from Texas, chasing life in Tennessee
Left Mama’s porch and all the ones who mean the world to me
But somewhere along the way, it stopped feeling
so right
Holding something broken is no longer worth the fight
Pre-Chorus 1
I told myself somehow time would change the way I feel
but every truth I faced alone showed me what was real.
Chorus
I’ll love you from a place that now is calling me home
And I’ll love you from a distance where I don’t feel all alone
I hear you now, but I can't stay
We’ll let the rest fall where it may
If meant to be, time will show
I still love you… but I’ll love you from Amarillo
Verse 2
I’m chasin' down the highway as the skyline starts to fade
Those long, quiet evenings told me more than words could say
I miss the good people who I knew before we met
And every sign for Amarillo feels like the home I can’t forget
Pre-Chorus 2
You’ll always be a chapter that I’ll always hold so dear,
But loving you meant losing me — now it's crystal clear
Chorus
I’ll love you from a place that now is calling me home
And I’ll love you from a distance where I don’t feel all alone
I hear you now, but I can't stay
We’ll let the rest fall where it may
If meant to be, time will show
I still love you… but I’ll love you from Amarillo
Bridge
The kindest love is knowing when it's time to draw the line
And I'm not giving up — I'm reaching for the girl I left behind
Final Chorus
If this is meant to be, time will show
I still love you… but I’ll love you from Amarillo
From Amarillo
I'll love you from Amarillo--

PAPER LANTERN DREAMS

Plays: 1
Backstory
“Paper Lantern Dreams” is a reflective indie folk-pop ballad about two people who fought hard to grow together, only to realize they were slowly drifting apart. The song uses the image of fragile paper lanterns—hopes you hold onto even as they start to lift away—as a metaphor for releasing a future that won’t land the way you imagined. I wrote it to capture that quiet, honest moment when letting go becomes an act of love instead of failure. With gentle imagery, soft emotional tension, and an intimate vocal approach inspired by harmony-driven groups, the song leans into acceptance, closure, and the courage it takes to open your hands and watch those shared dreams rise into the sky.”

Paper Lantern Dreams
VERSE 1
We held together through moments we couldn’t name,
We walked down roads we thought led the same
Saved pictures as proof how much we thought we'd grown
Even when the space between us began to show.
PRE-CHORUS
No it doesn't feel the way it used to.
Never saw the spark had finally burned clean through,
CHORUS
Holding on to what we thought could be,
Always thought we'd get there eventually
The box is open now I'm gonna let them fly
I'll watch them lift off and light up the sky
Letting go is harder than it seems,
of all our paper lantern dreams.
VERSE 2
We lived inside a picture neither one could frame,
We're adjusting just to keep us feeling sane.
And growing means admitting when hope won’t land,
And learning how to loosen up our trembling hands

PRE-CHORUS
Maybe letting go is finally telling the truth,
Loving someone doesn’t mean you always see it through.
FINAL CHORUS
Holding on to what we thought could be,
Always thought we'd get there eventually
The box is open now I'm gonna let them fly
I'll watch them lift off and light up the sky
Letting go is harder than it seems,
of all our paper lantern dreams.
Yeah our paper lantern dreams
paper lantern dreams

OLD HABITS

Plays: 1
Backstory
“Old Habits” is a traditional, 90s-leaning country ballad built around the idea that the things we used to do with someone don’t disappear just because they walk out the door. The song follows a guy who’s trying to move on but keeps slipping back into the routines—her empty coffee cup, the unused pillow, the porch light he still leaves on—because letting go of the habits feels harder than losing her.
It’s personal, conversational, and simple on purpose… that classic 90s emotional lane where the small details do all the heavy lifting. The hook flips the familiar phrase “old habits die hard” into something more vulnerable: he’s not fighting them; he’s holding onto them because it’s the last piece of her he’s got left.
It’s a straight-ahead, story-driven country ballad with a timeless feel and a strong emotional center—something that would sit comfortably next to the traditional heartbreak songs of the 90s.
Lyrics
Old Habits
VERSE 1
It still feels like you’re running late,
I keep that old front porch light on.
Out on the steps I sit and wait,
Even though you’ve been gone so long.
I leave your space out in the drive
Just like I did before
And I talk like you might still arrive
Even knowing that’s no more
CHORUS
These old habits stay with me,
I keep them close at hand.
Holdin’ on ’cause they remind me
Of the life we had planned.
They’re the last pieces of you I know,
I won’t let these old habits go
VERSE 2
You packed it up and sped over the bridge
With a guy you met from West LA
And left our calendar on the fridge
From all the plans we had each day
CHORUS
But these old habits stay with me,
I keep them close at hand.
Holdin’ on ’cause they remind me
Of the life we had planned.
They’re the last pieces of you I know,
No, I won’t let these old habits go
INSTRUMENTAL / TAG
They’re the last pieces of you I know
I won’t let these old habits go-

Tomorrow's Problems

Plays: 4
Backstory
“Tomorrow’s Problems” came from the idea that sometimes the best way to survive life’s pressure is to step away from it together — even if just for a night. The song lives in that moment where nothing is solved, but nothing needs to be. Two people escape the noise, the deadlines, and the weight of what’s coming next, choosing presence over panic.
It’s not about avoiding responsibility — it’s about remembering why it’s worth carrying. Sitting by the lake, letting the world slow down, and realizing that some worries don’t belong to tonight. Those can wait until morning.
At its core, the song is about choosing now over next, and love over overthinking — because tomorrow’s problems will still be there, but this moment won’t.
Lyrics
Tomorrow’s Problems
Verse 1
Pulled into our spot, girl, it’s been a long time.
Kick the truck in park, leave the deadlines behind.
We circled Friday night just for me and you,
Dropped everything just like we said we’d do.
Feels damn good just slowin’ down my mind,
Layin’ back right here leavin’ it all behind.
Pre-Chorus 1
Ain’t nothin’ fancy, but it’s just enough
Just you and me slowin’ down, get back to us.
Chorus
Just two plastic cups and a midnight view
Lake shinin’ silver in the light of the Georgia moon.
Ain’t gonna drop a dime in that worry jar —
We're ridin' low underneath the late-night stars
We’re here right now, and you know it can’t be wrong,
The weight of your world can come back later on.
All your heavy thoughts? We ain’t gonna solve ’em.
Yeah baby, those're tomorrow’s problems.
Verse 2
You start talkin’ ’bout the week ahead,
All those what-ifs runnin’ circles in your head.
Phone keeps glowin’ in the console light —
Feels like tomorrow doesn’t wanna wait tonight.

Pre-Chorus 2
I can tell your mind is spinnin’, takin’ on too much,
don’t have to go there now, tomorrow’s good enough.
Chorus
Just two plastic cups and a midnight view,
Lake shinin’ silver in the light of the Georgia moon.
Ain’t gonna drop a dime in that worry jar —
We're ridin' low underneath the late-night stars.
We’re here right now, and you know it can’t be wrong,
The weight of your world can come back later on.
All your heavy thoughts? We ain’t gonna solve ’em.
Yeah baby, those're tomorrow’s problems.
Instrumental
Final Chorus / Outro
Just two plastic cups and a midnight view,
Lake shinin’ silver in the light of the Georgia moon.
All your heavy thoughts? We ain’t gonna solve ’em.
Yeah baby, those're tomorrow’s problems. --

I'd let her break my heart again

Plays: 1
Backstory
This song is about the kind of love you know isn’t built to last—but you fall into it anyway because it feels too real to walk away from.
The narrator meets a woman whose free-spirited nature pulls him in from the very first moment. His friends warn him she won’t stay, that she’s not the settling-down type, but he chooses her anyway. For a while, they live inside that spark—driving fast, loving hard, pretending the future doesn’t exist.
Eventually, life pulls them apart. There’s no big villain, no betrayal—just two people who wanted different things at different times. Years later, he’s still haunted by the memory of her, holding onto an old photograph, replaying every moment they shared.
Even though it ended in heartbreak, he wouldn’t change a thing. Some loves aren’t meant to last forever, but they’re meant to happen. And if he had the chance to do it all again—knowing it would still fall apart—he would take it without hesitation.
Because some people don’t stay…
but they stay with you.
Lyrics
Verse 1
I knew what I was getting into
When I felt that spark between us
I could'n't leave her in my rear-view
Her carefree spirit was my weakness
My buddies said I should just forget it,
A girl like that ain’t stayin’ long,
But truth is I don’t regret it,
Even now..

? Chorus
She’s the one I couldn’t outrun,
We just weren't meant to last,
No matter which road we’re on,
WE can't drive away from the past
If I could go replay my shot,
Even knowin’ how it would end
I wouldn’t give it one second thought—
Yeah, I’d let her break my heart again.

? Verse 2
Saw her picture Tuesday night,
In the box I keep beneath the bed,
Crazy how the wrongs feel right
When her goodbye runs circles in my head,

Time won’t ever let me forget her—
She was gone once life pulled at the seams,
And my heart couldn’t quit her,
Still lost inside those same old dreams.

? Bridge
It hurt the way it ended, but I’d walk that road again,
Some scars don’t mean nothin’, just show you where you’ve been.

? Final Chorus
She’s the one I couldn’t outrun,
We just weren't meant to last
No matter which road we’re on,
WE can't drive away from the past
If I go back and replay my shot,
Even knowin’ how it would end
I wouldn’t give it one second thought—
Yeah, I’d let her break my heart again.
I’d let her break my heart again.--

God's Best Work

Plays: 4
Backstory
This song is about the moment when love feels less like chance and more like something meant to happen.
The narrator remembers meeting her on a rainy summer day—two strangers crossing paths in the middle of an ordinary moment that suddenly became unforgettable. From the very beginning, there was something different about her. Not just the way she looked, but the way she made him feel seen and steady.
As their relationship grows, he starts to see her not just as someone he loves, but as something almost divinely created—every smile, every glance, every little detail feeling like it was designed with care. The song isn’t about putting her on a pedestal, but about the awe of realizing how rare it is to find someone who fits so naturally into your life.
In the end, “God’s Best Work” is about gratitude—being thankful for the timing, the meeting, and the person who walked into your life and made everything feel right. It’s a love song rooted in faith, wonder, and the simple truth that some people feel like they were made just for you.
Lyrics
VERSE 1
Sometimes I wonder
How it went down that summer
Out on the street in a pouring rain
You ran inside, I asked your name
You laughed as I wiped off your face
soaked clean through in a crowded place
It's funny how we met that way
I still thank God for you everyday

CHORUS
In your eyes I see what’s meant to be
No idea what led you here to me
together now I won't pretend
I know just how lucky I am
You’re perfection in every way
I can’t find a single thing I’d change
Every line and every curve
Girl, you’re some of God’s best work

VERSE 2
Musta took His time on that smile
Probly pondered it a while
Put his light in those deep blue eyes
now they catch me every time
Gave you a heart that just won’t quit
And a look no one could soon forget

PRE-CHORUS 2
Don’t know how he sure came through
made somethin' beautiful in you
CHORUS
your eyes I see what’s meant to be
No idea what led you here to me
together now I won't pretend
I know just how lucky I am
You’re perfection in every way
I can’t find a single thing I’d change
Every line and every curve
Girl, you’re some of God’s best work

CHORUS
In your eyes I see what’s meant to be
No idea what led you here to me
together now I won't pretend
I know just how lucky I am
You’re perfection in every way
I can’t find a single thing I’d change
Every line and every curve

The River Don't Forget

Plays: 2
Backstory
“River Don’t Forget” is about the quiet place people go when they’re trying to make peace with the past.
The narrator and the woman he loved both moved on. They built new lives, took new names, and found new people. On the surface, everything looks settled. But when he goes back to the river where their story began, it’s like time stands still. The same water keeps flowing past the same banks, carrying every memory of who they used to be together.
The river becomes a witness to their love — it saw their first kisses, their last goodbyes, and everything in between. While people learn to let go and move forward, the river holds onto every moment, never judging, never forgetting.
The song isn’t about heartbreak as much as it is about acceptance — understanding that even when love ends, it still leaves a mark on the places that shaped you. And sometimes, all you can do is sit by the water, raise a glass to what was, and let the river remember it for you.
Lyrics
Verse 1
I came back down to the old boat ramp
Where the boards still smell like camp
There’s a dent in the cedar rail
From the night you slipped and fell
A faded ribbon on a willow tree
From the day you swam with me
We were young and sure back then
That it wouldn’t ever end

Pre-Chorus
We said goodbye, we crossed that line
Left a piece of us behind

Chorus
Sometimes I come out here
To clear my mind
Sit and drink a beer
And toast your new life
Your new last name
Some guy you just met
Out here it’s all the same
The river don’t forget

Verse 2
Now there’s houses where we used to park
Kids skip stones till it’s almost dark
Couples walk where we used to lie
Watchin’ clouds drift by
Every season comes and goes
But that water still seems to know
Every step we ever took
Every promise we never shook

Pre-Chorus
We changed our plans, we let it go
But the water still knows

Chorus
Sometimes I come out here
To clear my mind
Sit and drink a beer
And toast your new life
Your new last name
Some guy you just met
Out here it’s all the same
The river don’t forget

Bridge
It keeps the truth we left behind
All the versions of you and I
Some things fade with time and breath
But not what the river kept

Final Chorus
Sometimes I come out here
Just to sit and think
Of the way we were
And the space between
Every broken dream
Every last regret
Out here it’s all the same
The river don’t forget

Words he never said

Plays: 1
Backstory
This song came from thinking about a kind of father a lot of people grew up with but don’t always know how to describe. He wasn’t big on words. He didn’t say “I love you” or “I’m proud of you” out loud, not because he didn’t feel it, but because he came from a time and a life where you showed those things instead. He believed consistency mattered more than conversation.
He was shaped by hard work, responsibility, and service. He showed up every day. He kept his word. He took care of his family without asking for recognition. Looking back, the narrator realizes that everything he thought he needed to hear was already there — in the way his dad lived, the way he handled pressure, and the way he never walked away.
The song is about maturity and perspective. It’s the moment when you stop measuring love by what’s said and start understanding it by what’s done. “The Words He Never Said” is a thank-you song — not sentimental, not dramatic — just honest. It’s for anyone who learned what love looks like by watching someone live it.
Lyrics
[Verse 1]
I called him Dad, he was built like stone
Earned his stripes in a combat zone
Never said much but you’d know where you stand
Always the first to lend a hand
He grew up hard in a different time
When getting by was not an easy climb
He worked so hard to give us all he could
A quiet man can be misunderstood

[Pre-Chorus]
There were times I thought I needed to hear
A few simple words to make it clear
But I see it now in the path he led
In all the words he never said

[Chorus 1 — ]
He never said “I love you,” but I always knew
Never said “I’m proud but I know it's true
Never said “I’m hurting,” though I saw it in his eyes
Never walked away or said goodbye
Never said “I’m giving up” or turned his head
With so many words he left unsaid
He showed me how with the life he led
In all the words… he never said

[Verse 2]
A firm handshake meant I’m right here
A nod at the door meant we've got no fear
He showed me a man don’t have to speak
When his word’s are his work and his back ain’t weak

[Pre-Chorus]
There were things I thought I needed him to say
But he lived ‘em loud in his own way
And I see it now in the path he led
In all the words he never said

[Chorus 2 — Same as Chorus 1]
He never said “I love you,” but I always knew
Never said “I’m proud but I know it was true
Never said “I’m hurting,” though I saw it in his eyes
Never walked away or said goodbye
Never said “I’m giving up” or turned his head
With so many words he left unsaid
He showed me how with the life he led
In all the words… he never said

[Bridge]

But I see it now in the path he led

BIG SHOES

Plays: 3
Backstory
“Big Shoes” is about an honest moment early in a relationship, when expectations are put on the table before feelings get too deep. The narrator explains that she didn’t come up with her standards on her own — they were shaped by watching her dad love her mom in steady, everyday ways. He showed up, kept his word, and made his family feel chosen without needing grand gestures.
The song isn’t about comparing men or asking someone to be perfect. It’s about transparency. She’s letting him know that commitment, to her, looks like consistency, effort, and being present when it matters. The “big shoes” aren’t impossible to fill — they’re simply well-worn by example.
At its core, “Big Shoes” is a song about legacy and clarity. It captures how the way we’re loved growing up quietly sets the bar for the relationships we choose later on. Before this can go any further, she just wants him to understand the kind of love she already knows is possible.

Big Shoes - Eric Blossman 100%
Verse 1
Sittin’ in your truck outside my place
Dashboard lights on your worried face
You said, “Girl why’s it always feel
Like you can’t see that I’m for real?”
I said, “I know it’s not all your fault
I set that bar where I want
So before we see where this can go
There’s somethin’ you should know”

Chorus
There’s a kind of man my daddy showed me
Never settle for less — that’s what he told me
Didn’t just say it, he’d been there before
Started with nothin’, still pushin’ for more
He made it work even when it hurt
Still came home and put us first
If this is gonna work, I need you to understand
Those’re big shoes you’re steppin’ in

Verse 2
The graveyard shifts made weeks run long
Clockin’ out at the break of dawn
Pulled mom close every day
Made her feel loved in his quiet way
Little by little things start to change
Through hard work he caught some breaks
Now we don't have to go without it
Gave no reason to ever doubt it

Chorus
There’s a kind of man my daddy showed me
Never settle for less — that’s what he told me
Didn’t just say it, he’d been there before
Started with nothin’, still pushin’ for more
He made it work even when it hurt
Still came home and put us first
If this is gonna work, I need you to understand
Those’re big shoes you’re steppin’ in

Bridge
I know it’s a lot to live up to
This life don’t always play fair
You oughta know what you’re steppin’ into
Hope they not too big for you to wear

Final Chorus
There’s a kind of man my daddy showed me
Never settle for less — that’s what he told me
Never wondered where his heart would stand
Always gave more than we had planned
My mom felt chosen every day
Never let small things get in the way
If this is gonna work, I need you to understand
Those’re big shoes you’re steppin’ in--

Paper Lantern Dreams Country Version

Plays: 2
Backstory
This song comes from a relationship that wasn’t dramatic or explosive—it was quiet, hopeful, and slowly unraveling. Two people met at a moment when they both needed something to believe in, even if they couldn’t fully name what it was yet. What they had felt special not because it was perfect, but because it glowed in small, meaningful ways—late nights, shared dreams, the feeling that something beautiful was forming.
The “paper lanterns” represent those fragile hopes: plans they talked about, futures they imagined, promises that floated just long enough to feel real. They weren’t lies. They weren’t foolish. They were honest intentions that simply couldn’t survive real life. Like lanterns, they burned bright for a moment, lifted the darkness, and then faded faster than expected.
As time passed, the couple realized they were holding onto the idea of what could be more than what actually was. They kept adjusting, reframing, trying to make the picture fit—because letting go felt like admitting failure. But growth came with the understanding that love doesn’t always mean endurance, and that some flames aren’t meant to land and last.
By the end of the song, there’s no anger—just acceptance. The hardest part isn’t the breakup itself, but releasing the future they once believed in. The song honors those dreams without pretending they were enough to save the relationship. It’s about learning that something can be real, meaningful, and still not meant to last.
Lyrics
VERSE 1
We held together moments we couldn’t name
Watched ’em float between us just the same
We dreamt in colors before burning out
We lit the darkness then we drifted down

PRE-CHORUS
No it don’t feel the way it used to
Some things aren’t meant to make it all the way through

CHORUS
Holding on to what we thought could be
Always thought we’d get there eventually
we lit the candles then we sat and watched them fly
they burned out quickly after lighting up the sky
Letting go is harder than it seems
Of all our paper lantern dreams

VERSE 2
We lived inside a picture neither one could frame
We’re adjusting just to keep us feeling sane
And growing means knowing when a flame won’t land
And learning how to loosen up our trembling hands

PRE-CHORUS
Maybe letting go is finally telling the truth
Loving someone doesn’t mean you can always see it through

FINAL CHORUS
Holding on to what we thought could be
Always thought we’d get there eventually
we lit the candles then we sat and watched them fly
they burned out quickly after lighting up the sky
Letting go is harder than it seems
Of all our paper lantern dreams
Of all our paper lantern dreams

CARVED IN STONE

Plays: 1
Backstory
“Carved in Stone” was written from the perspective of everyday life in a small town — the kind of life that feels ordinary because it’s always been free. Morning drop-offs, kids running late, Friday nights under porch lights, neighbors who still trust each other. The song lives in those small, familiar routines we rarely stop to think about.
The heart of the song is the realization that none of that normalcy is accidental. Every quiet moment, every safe street, every simple freedom exists because someone else paid for it — often at a very young age. The chorus connects those daily moments to the names etched into stone, reminding us that freedom didn’t come abstractly or anonymously. It came through real people, real families, and real sacrifice.
“Carved in Stone” isn’t written from a battlefield perspective. It’s written from home — from the life that soldiers protected but never fully got to live. The letters carved in stone represent more than names on a wall; they represent the cost behind the freedoms we’ve grown up taking for granted.
At its core, the song is a thank-you. Not loud or political, but personal. It’s a reminder that while freedom feels normal to us, it was earned — and remembering that is part of honoring it.
Lyrics
Verse 1
Morning starts early in our little town
Same red light still blinkin’ down
Kids in the backseat, runnin’ late
Makin’ up time on the interstate
Pull into the schoolyard square
Backpacks swingin’ in the mornin’ air

Pre-Chorus
Drop ’em off, drive past that wall of stone
See all those names that still live on

Chorus
Flags in the breeze as the town rolls by
Home of the free right in front of our eyes
Someone paid for every small routine
Went off to fight as young as eighteen
Names we know, faces we can’t see
Paid the price for our liberty
And livin’ in freedom’s all we’ve known
Thanks to these letters carved in stone

Verse 2 (ABABCC)
Friday nights and front-yard lights
Neighbors leanin’ on the fence
Kids ride bikes past supper time
Still holdin’ their innocence
Screen doors bang to the same ol’ beat
Headlights crawl down our two-lane street
Pre-Chorus
Never forget how it all began
and the sacrifice to protect this land
Chorus
Flags in the breeze as the town rolls by
Home of the free right in front of our eyes
Someone paid for every small routine
Went off to fight as young as eighteen
Names we know, faces we can’t see
Paid the price for our liberty
And livin’ in freedom’s all we’ve known
Thanks to these letters carved in stone

Bridge
Sometimes I stand and read their names
Thank them for sacrifice and pray
We owe them more than our words can say

Final Chorus
Flags in the breeze as the town rolls by
Home of the free right in front of our eyes
Someone paid for every small routine
Went off to fight as young as eighteen
Names we know, faces we can’t see
Paid the price for our liberty
And livin’ in freedom’s all we’ve known
Thanks to these letters carved in stone

KEEP THAT METER RUNNIN'

Plays: 1
Backstory
This song came from the idea of being a small-town guy dropped into a city that feels way too big. Instead of trying to figure it out or pretend he belongs, he does what he knows — hops in a cab, lets someone else drive, and turns the night into an adventure.
The meter becomes the metaphor. As long as it’s running, the night isn’t over. There’s no plan, no destination — just good music, bar lights, missed turns, and buying rounds wherever they land. The driver turns into an unlikely sidekick, watching this guy let loose and enjoy the ride.
At its core, the song is about choosing fun over control, living in the moment, and saying “keep it going” when life gives you an excuse to stop. It’s a lighthearted, confident, party-driven story that feels spontaneous and real — the kind of night you don’t remember every detail of, but never forget.

Keep that meter runnin’
Verse 1
This town’s too big, streets all look the same
Can’t tell left from right by all the street names
Boots on concrete, feet already hurt
Ain’t seen a backroad, ain’t seen dirt
I came to drink, came to have some fun
Didn’t come to walk ’til my boots got worn
If I’m gonna get lost in a place this wide
I’m ridin’ shotgun on the passenger side
Pre-Chorus
Flagged a yellow cab down on Tenth
He said “let’s roll — yeah, just hop on in”
Chorus
Just keep that meter runnin' all night
We ain’t done, don’t kill my ride
Couple more stops, don’t rush me through
Don’t pull it over ’til I tell you to
Take the long way, hit every sight
Clock don’t matter, I got the time
I got you whenever we land
Just keep that meter runnin’ — that’s the plan
Verse 2
Pulled up fast to a neon sign
I said “give me ten,” he said “take yo’ time”
Back in the seat with a buzz and a grin
He turned it up when I climbed back in
Missed a turn laughin’, shook his head
Said “man, you’re good — I’ve seen worse instead”
Hit a few more spots, lost track of the route
Hit a taco stand while he figured it out

Pre-Chorus
Back to the curb, here we go again
He said “let’s roll — yeah, just hop back in”
Chorus
Just keep that meter runnin all night
We ain’t done, don’t kill my ride
Couple more stops, don’t rush me through
Don’t pull it over ’til I tell you to
Take the long way, hit every sight
Clock don’t matter, I got the time
I got you whenever we land
Just keep that meter runnin’ — that’s the plan
Bridge
Windows down, radio loud
Laughin’ like we own this town
He said “man, you still doin’ alright?”
I said “buddy, we’re just gettin’ started tonight”
Final Chorus
Just keep that meter runnin all night
We ain’t done, don’t kill my ride
Couple more stops, don’t rush me through
Don’t pull it over ’til I tell you to
Take the long way, hit every sight
Clock don’t matter, I got the time
I got you whenever we land
Just keep that meter runnin’ — that’s the plan

Bad Wiring

Backstory
“Bad Wiring” came from that moment when you realize the damage isn’t just what happened to you — it’s what you learned to survive it.

Bad Wiring
Verse 1
I feel it hit before I think
Your hands move faster then I blink
I say the things I should not say
Watch a good moment waste away
Pre-Chorus
So let me break this down
I’m defective now
Chorus
I got bad wiring in my chest
I short out when it matters best
Never turns out the way I planned
Can’t help just the way I am
If there is blame then it is mine
I see it every single time
I fall apart no use in fightin
I got some bad wiring
Verse 2
You stood still and then I flinched
Said it once now you forget
Got too close and then I ran
Don’t play games that’s not who I am
Pre-Chorus
So let me break this down
I’m defective now

Chorus
I got bad wiring in my chest
I short out when it matters best
Never turns out the way I planned
Can’t help just the way I am
If there is blame then it is mine
I see it every single time
I fall apart no use in fighting
I got some bad wiring
Bridge
Maybe I should be dissected
To study what is not connected
And maybe you can find it
Fuse together and align it
Chorus
I got bad wiring in my chest
I short out when it matters best
Never turns out the way I planned
Can’t help just the way I am
If there is blame then it is mine
I see it every single time
I fall apart no use in fighting
I got some bad wiring

I TOLD HIM I WOULD WAIT

Plays: 1
Backstory
This song was inspired by the quiet side of loss — the moments that don’t make speeches or headlines. I wanted to write about a father whose son never made it home from service, not from the angle of ceremony or closure, but from the weight of a promise that doesn’t expire just because the outcome changed.
The image that unlocked the song was a man sitting where he said he’d be, even though he knows his son isn’t coming through that door. Not because he’s confused, but because keeping his word is the last thing he can still do for him. The narrator isn’t there to fix anything — he’s just a witness to the kind of strength that doesn’t need to explain itself.
At its core, the song is about honor, faith, and the dignity of showing up. It’s not about answers or resolution — it’s about a father choosing to keep his promise anyway
Lyrics
Eric Blossman. – IPI 838720516. – ericblossmanmusic@gmail.com (512) 7882502
I told him I would wait
Verse 1
I recognized his face from the evening news
Flag on his porch, folded red, white, and blue
They said his boy didn’t make it back home
Dress blues hung up, his name carved into stone
Now he’s sittin’ in a plastic chair by the wall
Outside arrivals where the soldiers walk off
Eyes fixed on a doorway that won’t change a thing
Still right there holdin’ on to what it might bring
Pre-Chorus
He said the last time we spoke, I made it clear
No matter what, I’d meet him here
Chorus
He said a promise is a promise
Yeah, even when it hurts
Even when the gates of heaven
Open up there first
I don’t need a reason
No, I can’t explain
Even if I won’t see him
I told him I would wait
Verse 2
He talked about fishin’ down Miller’s Bend
How his boy never sat still, always pullin’ line in
Said the last thing he said before he boarded that plane
Was “Don’t worry, Dad — I’ll be back home again”
His hands shook when he said his name
Like sayin’ it out loud still felt the same
Pre-Chorus
He said the last time we spoke, I made it clear
No matter what, I’d meet him here
Chorus
He said a promise is a promise
Yeah, even when it hurts
Even when the gates of heaven
Open up there first
I don’t need a reason
No, I can’t explain
Even if I won’t see him
I told him I would wait
Bridge
Some call it closure
Some call it peace
He just calls it standin’
Where he said he’d be
Final Chorus
He said a promise is a promise
Yeah, even when it’s hard
Even when all you’re left with
Is a folded flag and God
It won’t be tomorrow
It won’t be today
Even if I won’t see him
I told him I would wait
Tag
Yeah, I told him I would wait

RUNNIN' THROUGH ME

Plays: 1
Backstory
“Running Through Me” is about the space between letting go and actually being free. It’s told from the perspective of someone who has moved forward in life — new routines, new direction, a stronger sense of self — but still feels the quiet pull of a past connection that hasn’t fully faded. The song isn’t about heartbreak or regret; it’s about honesty. Sometimes you can do everything right and still carry a feeling that shows up when you least expect it. Instead of fighting that truth, the song acknowledges it and keeps moving. It’s a reflection on growth, resilience, and the understanding that certain experiences become part of who you are, even after you’ve learned how to stand on your own.

Runnin through me
Verse 1
Girl you left me with this feeling
Said it’s something we outgrew
Packed your things on a Sunday
Left me staring at the truth
Every time I try to make sense of us
Every time I try to sleep
That voice I try to bury
Keeps callin’ back to me
Pre-Chorus
I don’t chase it
I try to fight it
It don’t matter what I do
it's callin
I keep fallin’
I can’t hide behind the truth
Chorus
You’re rollin’ through the back of my mind
Pulling me down every single time
I play it cool, say I’m doin’ just fine
But I just can’t leave you behind
I try to shake it, I try to break free
I tell myself we’re history
I’m much stronger than I used to be
But you’re still runnin’ through me
Verse 2
I’ve been telling myself I’m over it now
Yeah it's time to let it go
This world keeps on turnin'
I'm movin' on that's for sure
I don’t need to say your name
I don’t need to make it real
But sometimes you still remind me
Of the way it used to feel
Pre-Chorus
I don’t reach out
I don’t break down
I ride it out stay on my feet
But it moves me
Slow and steady
And it's got a hold on me
Chorus
You’re rollin’ through the back of my mind
Pulling me down every single time
I play it cool, say I’m doin’ just fine
But I just can’t leave you behind
I try to shake it, I try to break free
I tell myself we’re history
I’m much stronger than I used to be
But you’re still runnin’ through me
Bridge
Maybe someday it’ll fade away
Maybe time will prove me wrong
But tonight it’s in my veins
And I feel it comin’ on
Chorus
You’re rollin’ through the back of my mind
Pulling me down every single time
I play it cool, say I’m doin’,just fine
But I just can’t leave you behind
I try to shake it, I try to break free
I tell myself we’re history
I’m much stronger than I used to be
But you’re still runnin’ through me
Yeah You're still runnin' through me

DEADLINES IN THE SAND

Plays: 18
Backstory
I wrote this after thinking about how constant the pressure feels now. The phone never stops, everyone needs something, and by the end of the day you’re so worn down you start wondering if this is really how it’s supposed to feel.
I kept coming back to the idea that the ocean might be the only place left that doesn’t demand anything from you. The water isn’t rushing, the sun can wait, and the waves roll in whether you’ve answered every call or not.
So the song became about giving yourself permission to step away for a minute — not to disappear, just long enough to breathe and find your footing again.
Because when you’re standing there, there really are no deadlines in the sand.

Deadlines in the Sand - Eric Blossman 100%
Verse 1
Alarm goes off, and I just let it ring
That damn phone keeps on buzzin' back at me
Musta forgot I ain’t comin’ in today
There on my calendar, in big letters, circled beach vacay
Flip flops and clothes in an old carry-on
Go wheels up turn south then I'll be gone
Pre-Chorus
This ol' job' will be here when I get back next week
Put the out of office on now just set me free
Chorus
Cuz, the water don’t care if I’m runnin’ late
That sunshine ain’t rushin’, it can wait
The palm trees ain’t blowin’ up my phone
Those seagulls are fine, leavin’ me alone
These waves ain’t got nothin’ left to prove
They roll in and out, ask nothin of you
Now I ain’t livin’ by nobody’s plan
There ain’t no deadlines in the sand
Verse 2
I got my toes in the sand ,a tropical drink in my hand
Talking with strangers like me, who no longer give a damn
The tide is rollin in under the soft moonlight
I'm watchin' the sun clockin' out for the night
Chorus
No the water don’t care if I’m runnin’ late
That sunshine ain’t rushin’, it can wait
The palm trees ain’t blowin’ up my phone
Those seagulls are fine, leavin’ me alone
These waves ain’t got nothin’ left to prove
They roll in and out, ask nothin of you
Now I ain’t livin’ by nobody’s plan
There ain’t no deadlines in the sand
Bridge
If it all falls apart while I’m gone, that's too bad
They’ll figure it out, like I know they can
For once I ain’t the one holdin’ it all together
When I get back, I'll feel a whole lot better
Final Chorus
The water don’t care if I’m runnin’ late
That sunshine ain’t rushin’, it can wait
The palm trees ain’t blowin’ up my phone
Those seagulls are fine leavin’ me alone
These waves ain’t got nothin’ left to prove
They roll in and out, ask nothin' of you
Now I ain’t livin’ by nobody’s plan
There ain’t no deadlines in the sand

The Man You Saw In Me

Plays: 2
Backstory
“The Man You Saw in Me” is about a relationship that didn’t fix a broken guy — it revealed the good man that was already there. The narrator comes in carrying history, mistakes, and a little wear, but instead of walking away, she recognizes his potential in the middle of the chaos. Her belief becomes the turning point. It’s a gratitude song from a grown man who finally sees himself the way she always did. The heart of it is simple: sometimes the right person doesn’t rescue you — they remind you who you are.

The Man You Saw in Me
Verse 1
I didn’t come to you with a clean slate
Had a few habits I couldn’t shake
You read the miles behind my eyes
But you stayed right by my side
We watched the hard days drift away
Got a little better day by day
You sure brought out the best in me
And found the man I couldn’t see
Chorus
You showed up when I shut down
Helped this man beneath the clouds
You saw the promise in the fray
Helped me find some better days
You held on tight, never let go
Saw the truth I couldn’t show
Now every step I take I see
I'm now the man you saw in me
Verse 2
Now when the world starts turnin' south
I used to shut it down but I don’t now
You showed me calm without a word
The kind that’s felt more than it’s heard
I show up now ’cause you helped me believe
In a better side of me
And now all I wanna be
Is the man you've always seen
Chorus
You showed up when I shut down
Helped this man beneath the clouds
You saw the promise in the fray
Helped me find some better days
You held on tight, never let go
Saw the truth I couldn’t show
Now every step I take I see
I'm now the man you saw in me
Instrumental
Final Chorus
You showed up when I shut down
Helped this man beneath the clouds
Now every step I take I see
I'm now the man you saw in me

Where we left off

Plays: 10
Backstory
“Where We Left Off” was inspired by running into a former best friend after years apart. A high school love triangle and pride sent them down different roads, but time softened what ego couldn’t. The song captures that moment when old wounds don’t matter anymore — and you realize some friendships can pick up right where they left off.
Lyrics
Eric Blossman. – IPI 838720516. – ericblossmanmusic@gmail.com (512) 788-2502

Where we left off
Verse 1
Man it’s been one hell of a night so far
Caught that crooked grin right there across the bar
Got some grey sneakin’ in his hair
Same old trouble sittin’ over there
I said hell man how you been
Pull up a chair what you drinkin’ friend
Once we were brothers shoulder to shoulder
Still those kids just a little bit older
Pre-Chorus
We traded stories one by one
We're locked in, it's been way too long
Chorus
Now we’re right where we left off
Laughin’ ’bout all the hell we caused
Might’ve been quite a few long years
Different roads that brought us here
Every story takes us back
To who we were before all that
No use countin’ time we lost
We’re right here where we left off
Verse 2
Remember Jenny at the Texaco
Cutoff jeans and a heart of gold
You swore you’d play it cool
Man we were barely outta school
You won that round I took it hard
We let it go way too far
I wound up packin’ up leavin’ town
Always wondered how it all went down
Pre-Chorus 2
He said man she took off years ago
Married, couple kids far as I know
Chorus
Now we’re right where we left off
Laughin’ ’bout all the hell we caused
Might’ve been quite a few long years
Different roads that brought us here
Every story takes us back
To who we were before all that
No use countin’ time we lost
We’re right here where we left off
Bridge
He said she talked about you through the years
more than a man wants to hear
We both wondered where you'd gone
I'm so sorry how it all went wrong
Final Chorus
Now we’re right where we left off
Makin’ up for the time we lost
Might’ve been quite a few long years
Different roads that brought us here
Every story led us back
Ain’t no point hangin’ onto that
I'll be around anytime you want
Right here where we left off--
Right here where we left off

BACKSPACE

Plays: 1
Backstory
This song was inspired by the idea that while it’s easy to delete a text, photo, or contact from your phone, it’s not so easy to erase the memories that came with that person. “Backspace for That” plays on the contrast between the digital world—where a message can disappear with one swipe—and the emotional reality that some relationships leave marks that can’t be undone. The lyric follows someone late at night debating whether to send a message to an ex, realizing that even if the words disappear, the feelings behind them don’t.
Lyrics
Eric Blossman. – IPI 838720516. – ericblossmanmusic@gmail.com (512) 788-2502
Verse 1
Two a.m., my phone lights up
See your name and I freeze up
My thumb is hoverin’ over send
But we both know how this ends
I write “Hey stranger, how you’ve been?”
Delete it then I type it again
Yeah you might've crossed my mind
But I'm not goin’ there this time

Pre-Chorus
Can't send it, I’ve come too far
But I still wonder how you are

Chorus
We said forever meant forever
But we couldn't stay together
Now you're a name I used to know
Still lightin’ up my phone
So I delete what I just typed
Clear it out with just one swipe
And I won't forget what we once had
There’s no backspace for that

Verse 2
Scrolling back through Instagram
Checkin’ who I no longer am
In your hoodie by the bonfire
Watchin’ flames climb higher and higher
Now I archive every picture
Every memory and adventure
Clean the slate in seconds flat
Shut it down and that was that

Pre-Chorus
Can't answer, I’ve come too far
But I still wonder how you are

Chorus
We said forever meant forever
But we couldn't stay together
Now you're a name I used to know
Still lightin’ up my phone
So I delete what I just typed
Clear it out with just one swipe
And I won't forget what we once had
There’s no backspace for that

Bridge
I can erase all our threads
Pretend those words were never said
Now I can't find any trace of you
But some things I just can’t undo

Final Chorus
So I delete what I just typed
Clear it out with just one swipe
But I can't forget what we once had
There’s no backspace for that
Yeah there’s no backspace for that

Whole Lotta Friends

Plays: 1
Backstory
“Whole Lotta Friends” came from a real-life conversation about how life changes as you get older. One day I was sitting in a doctor’s office going over the usual checkup conversation — numbers, health, and the typical advice about cutting back on things like whiskey and taking better care of yourself. It got me thinking about how easy it is for people to picture “drinking” as something lonely or unhealthy when in reality, for a lot of us, it’s often the opposite.
The truth is, the older you get, the more you realize life moves fast and time with good people is what really matters. The song flips that doctor’s advice into a humorous but honest perspective: the narrator isn’t sitting around drinking alone anymore. Instead, he’s surrounded by friends — backyard barbecues, football games on the TV, smokers firing up ribs, and phones lighting up every time someone says they’re staying in.
“Whole Lotta Friends” is really about community, friendship, and the kind of everyday moments that turn into the best memories. It’s a lighthearted reminder that sometimes the best medicine isn’t just cutting things out of life — it’s filling your life with good people.

Whole Lotta Friends
Verse 1
Sittin’ on that table, exam room light
Doc looks at my chart, he's judgin’ my life
Said “numbers look fine” but we got to talkin
“there's too much whiskey, and not enough walkin”
Last time you sure got me thinkin’
Don’t sip whiskey alone like I did then
These days if you catch me drinkin’
I’m drinkin’ with friends
Chorus
But I got a whole lotta friends
Good times they never seem to end
Every time I say I’m stayin’ in
My phone blows up again
One beer turns into an all night
Last call turns into the daylight
Lord knows I changed from how I was back then
’Cause I got a whole lotta friends
Verse 2
My buddy Mike got a brand-new Traeger
Fired it up Sunday for ribs and Jager
Johnny next door got the game on loud
Tailgate chairs in a backyard crowd
So doc, I'm really tryin’ to cut down
I only drink when I go out
And I slow it down when I’m at home
And now I never drink alone
Chorus
But now I got a whole lotta friends
Good times they never seem to end
Every time I say I’m stayin’ in
My phone blows up again
One beer turns into an all-night
Last call turns into the daylight
Lord knows I changed from how I was back then
’Cause I got a whole lotta friends
Bridge
Doc life moves fast man that’s the truth
Can’t get back the time you lose
These days I ain’t drinkin’ alone
Got good people that feel like home
Final Chorus
One beer turns into all night
Last call turns into daylight
Lord knows I changed from how I was back then
’Cause I got a whole lotta friends

YOU LOOK SO GOOD IN RED

Plays: 1
Backstory
“You Look So Good in Red” came from the idea of how sometimes the biggest warning signs are the easiest to ignore when someone is charming. The phrase “red flags” is something we all hear when talking about relationships, but the concept became more interesting when paired with the image of someone literally wearing red.
The song captures a moment at a bar where a woman is approached by a smooth, confident guy who clearly knows exactly what he’s doing. From the way he says her name to the way he leans in when he talks, she can tell he’s probably used the same charm before. As their conversation unfolds, she starts noticing all the subtle clues that he might be trouble.
The hook ties those ideas together: she sees every red flag, but he still looks so good in red. The lyric plays with the tension between instinct and attraction—the moment when someone knows better but still can’t help being drawn in.
Written as a contemporary country song with a conversational storytelling style, the goal was to capture a relatable moment where logic and temptation collide, and where sometimes the warning signs are right in front of you—but they still look pretty good.
Lyrics
Eric Blossman. – IPI 838720516. – ericblossmanmusic@gmail.com (512) 788-2502

You look so good in Red
Verse 1
You walked up like you knew me
Though we've never met before tonight
You dropped that stool beside me
And asked me what I like
I said I’m sippin’ whiskey
You said “hey girl we’re two of a kind”
Didn’t take long ’til it hit me
You might've used that one a few times
Chorus
Mama says I never learned my lesson
I'll pick the wrong one every time
And I don’t wanna give the wrong impression
Because I’m hangin’ on your every line
But now I can no longer hear you
Over these sirens in my head
I see nothin’ but red flags
But you look so good in red
Verse 2
You’re smooth as red velvet
But somethin’ ain’t settin’ right
You say I’m not like anyone you’ve met
Bet you’ve said that like a thousand times
You keep glancin’ at that doorway
Checkin’ who’s walkin’ in
That same name lightin’ up your phone
And you turn it over once again...well..
Chorus
Mama says I never learned my lesson
I'll pick the wrong one every time
I don’t wanna give the wrong impression
Because I’m hangin’ on your every line
But now I can no longer hear you
Over these sirens in my head
I see nothin’ but red flags
But you look so good in red
Bridge
You hit me smooth like this whiskey
And I almost took that shot
But my mama’s voice is ringin’ louder
Sayin’ girl you better not
Final Chorus
I see nothin’ but red flags
But you look so good in red
Yeah you look so good in red

YOU SHOULD'VE CHEATED SOONER

Plays: 1
Backstory
“You Should’ve Cheated Sooner” is a modern country breakup song told with humor, confidence, and a little bit of bite. Instead of the typical heartbreak story, the narrator looks back on a relationship that was already fading long before it finally ended. The moment that changed everything happens during a night out at their spot on Cherry Lane, when a suspicious text lights up her boyfriend’s phone and confirms what she probably already knew. Rather than creating devastation, that moment becomes the turning point that sets her free.
The song flips the usual breakup narrative on its head. Instead of anger or revenge, the narrator realizes her life actually improved once the relationship was over. She reconnects with friends, stops waiting around for late-night texts, and starts feeling like herself again. With a little sarcasm and self-awareness, she comes to a surprising conclusion: the relationship ending when it did was the best thing that could have happened.
The hook, “You Should’ve Cheated Sooner,” delivers the twist with playful attitude. It’s not about celebrating betrayal, but about recognizing that sometimes the event that breaks a relationship open is also the thing that gives someone the push they needed to move on and find something better. By the end of the song, the narrator isn’t bitter—she’s grateful for the lesson and happier than she’s been in a long time.
Written in a conversational, story-driven style with vivid details and a confident female perspective, the song fits squarely in the lane of contemporary country artists who blend humor, honesty, and empowerment in their storytelling.

You should’ve cheated sooner
Verse 1
We were two margaritas deep
At that spot down on Cherry Lane
You were fumblin' through that speech
’Bout how you were gonna change
Then your phone lit up the table
Some name you swore was a friend
I didn’t even need to ask
You were up to old tricks again
Pre-Chorus
Paid the tab, grabbed my keys, you just sat there with that grin
Gone before you said one word, and that's where our story ends
Chorus
I'm feelin' like myself again
Spendin' time with my good friends
Not sittin' here starin' at my phone
Not ever feelin' so damn alone
Everything feels lighter now
Happier without you around
My whole world turns much smoother
You should've cheated sooner
Verse 2
Got a little help from the whiskey
And my girls talkin’ me through
Said “give it just a little time
And I'll have forgotten bout you
They got me dancin' every friday
Not cryin’ in my room
I'm back doin' things my way
It couldn't come too soon
Chorus
I'm feelin' like myself again
Spendin' time with my good friends
Not sittin' here starin' at my phone
Not ever feelin' so damn alone
Everything feels lighter now
Happier without you around
My whole world turns much smoother
You should've cheated sooner
Bridge
So here’s a toast to bad decisions
And every lie you told
Turns out you did me one big favor
More than you'll ever know
Final Chorus
I'm feelin' like myself again
Spendin' time with my good friends
Not sittin' here waitin' by my phone
Not ever feelin' so damn alone
Everything feels lighter now
Happier without you around
My whole world turns much smoother
Boy, you should've cheated sooner--

Back of my Mind
Verse 1
Girl you left me with this feelin’
Said it’s something we outgrew
Packed your things on a Sunday
Left me starin’ at the truth
Every time I try to make sense of us
Every time I try to sleep
That voice I try to bury
Keeps callin’ back to me
Pre-Chorus
I don’t chase it
I try to fight it
It don’t matter what I do
It’s callin’
I keep fallin’
I can’t hide behind the truth
Chorus
Can’t shake it, can’t break myself free
Still runnin from who we used to be
I Say it loud, now we're history
But you’re still circlin’ ’round me
I play it cool, I’m doin’ just fine
But you pull me down every single time
I’m tryin’ to leave the past behind
But you’re stuck in the back of my mind
Verse 2
I keep telling myself I’m over it now
Yeah it’s time to let it go
Can’t stop the world from turnin’
I’m movin’ on, that’s for sure
I don’t need to say your name
I don’t need to make it real
But sometimes you still remind me
Of the way it used to feel
Pre-Chorus
I don’t reach out
I don’t break down
I ride it out, stay on my feet
But it moves me
Slow and steady
And it’s got a hold on me
Chorus
Can’t shake it, can’t break myself free
Still runnin from who we used to be
I say it loud, now we're history
But you’re still circlin’ ’round me
I play it cool, I’m doin’ just fine
But you pull me down every single time
I’m tryin’ to leave the past behind
But you’re stuck in the back of my mind
Bridge
Maybe someday it’ll fade away
Maybe time will prove me wrong
But tonight it’s in my veins
And I feel it comin’ on
Final Chorus
I play it cool, I’m doin’ just fine
But you pull me down every single time
I’m tryin’ to leave the past behind
You’re stuck in the back of my mind

TRAILER TO HEAVEN

Plays: 8
Backstory
This one came from thinking about how a lot of people don’t lose everything all at once… they just keep putting life off.
I had this picture of a guy who did everything right on paper—worked hard, saved money, stayed in his lane—but he kept saying “I’ll get to that later” when it came to the things that actually mattered.
The twist for me was realizing it wasn’t that he didn’t care—he just always thought he had more time.
Then that voicemail idea came in… and it flipped the whole thing. It’s not about her not being there—it’s that she was trying, and he just never went.
And that plane ticket at the end is really the whole point—he finally made the decision… just too late.
That’s where “you can’t pull a trailer to heaven” really hit. All the things he held onto didn’t matter compared to the one thing he kept putting off.

Trailer to Heaven
Verse 1
Old man Carter down the road
Worked doubles to the very end
Spent a lot of years home alone
Savin’ dollars he’d never spend
Never touched his good whiskey
Never drove past that county line
Had a daughter out in Kentucky
Said he’d get there some time
Pre-Chorus
All his tomorrows kept on waitin’
Now he’s gone and those years are wasted
Chorus
No, you can’t take it with you
Don’t need money where you’re goin’
Everything you’re holdin’ on to
Can’t hitch it up for towin’
So quit pinchin’ every penny
Leave with your tank on empty
Enjoy the blessings we’ve been given
You can’t pull a trailer to heaven
Verse 2
They found a message from his daughter
Saved right there on his phone
Says “I wish that I could come there
But it’s hard with kids at home”
“Why don’t you come down this weekend”
Was the last note she sent
Said she really wanted to see him
So much time had come and went
Pre-Chorus
Now she’ came in to say her last goodbye
Wishin’ they could make up for all that lost time
Chorus
No, you can’t take it with you
Don’t need money where you’re goin’
Everything you’re holdin’ on to
Can’t hitch it up for towin’
So quit pinchin’ every penny
Leave with your tank on empty
Enjoy the blessings we’ve been given
You can’t pull a trailer to heaven
Bridge
There’s a plane ticket on the table
Flight booked and saved the date
He was finally gonna see her
Just a little too late
Final Chorus
So quit pinchin’ every penny
Leave with your tank on empty
Enjoy the blessings we’ve been given
You can’t pull a trailer to heaven

NOT DRINKIN' CLEARLY - (vers 1)

Plays: 2
Backstory
“Not Drinkin’ Clearly” tells the story of a guy who’s finally owning up to the damage he caused when he was living a little too loose and making excuses for it. Instead of blaming the alcohol, he realizes it was never the bottle—it was him. The song captures that turning point where he’s trying to show up different, prove he’s serious, and win back someone who’s heard it all before. There’s a mix of regret, self-awareness, and a little bit of hope running through it, with the hook playing on the double meaning of finally seeing things clearly while choosing not to drink at all. It’s about accountability, second chances, and the hard truth that changing your life is one thing—but convincing someone else you’ve actually changed is the real fight.
Lyrics
Eric Blossman. – IPI 838720516. – ericblossmanmusic@gmail.com (512) 788-2502
Not Drinkin’ Clearly
Verse 1
Had time to think since you’ve been gone
Called you up it’s been way too long
Hope you don’t hang up when I dial
Callin’ like “hey girl… it’s been a while”
You dealt with who I was
When the whiskey did what it does
No I’ve not been back there again
Yeah you know I’ve changed a lot since then
Pre-Chorus
I quit the bottle and swallowed my pride
Maybe tonight I can make this right
Chorus
Not drinkin’ clearly again tonight
Stone cold sober and you’re still on my mind
Said I was done said I was through
Still keepin’ my word like I promised you
Said I would change I meant it sincerely
I’m not drinkin’ clearly
No I’m not drinkin’ clearly
Verse 2
You said “I’m free if you’re around”
Didn’t take long on your side of town
Told myself I’d keep it light
Not fall back in like last time
You leaned in close like nothin’ changed
Same kinda pull I can’t shake
I meant every word when I said it
Girl you know I meant it
Chorus
Not drinkin’ clearly again tonight
Stone cold sober and you’re still on my mind
Said I was done said I was through
Still keepin’ my word like I promised you
Said I would change I meant it sincerely
I’m not drinkin’ clearly
No I’m not drinkin’ clearly
Bridge
You said I'd figure it out by now
Nothin’ matters when you’re not around
You always hated that side of me
Here I am—Can't you see
Final Chorus
Said I was done said I was through
Still keepin’ my word like I promised you
Said I would change I meant it sincerely
I’m not drinkin’ clearly
No I’m not drinkin’ clearly

WHAT I WAS MISSIN'

Plays: 1
Backstory
I wrote “What I Was Missin’” from a really honest place of hindsight.
It’s about a guy who spent so much time chasing work, being on the road, and thinking he had more time, that he never really showed up for the person who needed him to. At the time, he thought he was doing what he had to do… but looking back, he realizes she was telling him exactly what she needed all along.
The turning point is when he sees her now—through pictures—and realizes she’s finally living the life she used to describe to him. And the hardest part isn’t that she moved on… it’s that she found that life with someone else.
It’s not bitter, it’s not angry—it’s that quiet realization of “I get it now… I just didn’t get it then.”
That’s really where the title comes from. He finally understands what she was missing… and more importantly, what he couldn’t be at the time.
Lyrics
What I was missin'. Eric Blossman
Verse 1
Some of your pictures popped up on my phone
Tagged in a post from way back home
You’re standin’ there in your new place
Got that glow all over your face
There’s a magnet holdin’ a grocery list
Takeout menus stuck right next to it
This is the life I couldn’t give you
Never slowed down enough to see it through

Pre-Chorus
I knew what you wanted, Lord knows I couldn’t change
Now it’s starin’ back at me in a picture frame

Chorus
You’re in a kitchen I don’t recognize
Never saw that look in your eyes
You look so happy together
Always knew you’d do better
He’s got everything I couldn’t give
Livin’ the life I couldn’t live
You said it straight, I didn’t listen
Looks like you found what I was missin’

Verse 2
This picture makes perfect sense
Wraparound porch and a picket fence
There’s a sippy cup there on the floor
You held out, he gave you so much more

Pre-Chorus
I knew what you wanted, Lord knows I couldn’t change
Now it’s starin’ back at me in a picture frame

Chorus
You’re in a kitchen I don’t recognize
Never saw that look in your eyes
You look so happy together
Always knew you’d do better
He’s got everything I couldn’t give
Livin’ the life I couldn’t live
You said it straight, no I didn’t listen
Looks like you found what I was missin’

Bridge
Sunday clothes and kids at the beach
Smilin’ at every picture of you
Yeah he’s everything I couldn’t be
Doin’ the things I couldn’t do

Final Chorus
You’re in a kitchen I don’t recognize
Never saw that look in your eyes
You both look so happy together
Always knew you’d do better
He’s got everything I couldn’t give
Livin’ the life I couldn’t live
You said it straight, I didn’t listen
Looks like you found what I was missin’--

Sorry don't live here anymore

Plays: 2
Backstory
“Sorry Don’t Live Here Anymore” comes from a place a lot of people are quietly sitting in right now—the shift from keeping your head down to finally standing in what you believe. It’s about a small-town guy who’s always been respectful, always been the one to keep the peace…until he realizes that staying quiet starts to feel like he’s giving up pieces of himself.
The verses paint that contrast—working the land, holding onto faith, routine mornings at the local café—while the world around him changes and starts pushing back on those values. There’s no big dramatic moment…just a steady realization that he’s done apologizing for who he is.
The hook flips the word “sorry” from something humble into a boundary. It’s not anger—it’s clarity. It’s him saying: you’re welcome at my door, but I’m not watering myself down to make you comfortable anymore.
It’s a blue-collar, faith-and-country anthem with a modern edge—built to connect with listeners who feel like they’ve been expected to stay quiet too long, and are finally ready to stand firm without backing down.
Lyrics
Verse 1
First light on the fields and the engines run
I'll work this land til' all my days are done
I’m a God-fearing, hard-workin’ back-road man
Boots still stained with the Georgia sand
Watched the town light up with a neon age
Heard folks say we need to turn the page
I used to keep it down low when the room got loud
But I speak it plain now—I say it proud

Pre-Chorus
I stand for the flag and give thanks to above
And I won’t apologize if that offends anyone

Chorus
I’m standin’ right here where I call my home
Still the same guy everybody’s known
Don't come at me say I'm out of line
Stayin' true to myself is not a crime
Neighbors can count on me for sure
but they won’t hear that word I said before
You can knock all night on my front door
But “Sorry” don’t live here anymore
Yeah No more
________________________________

Verse 2
Stop every mornin’ at old Joe’s Café
Same worn stool where I start the day
Met a buddy there, we bowed our heads to pray
Talked faith and country in our hometown way
Couple city folks turned with a cold, hard stare
You could tell our talk wasn’t welcome over there
I shook my head with a steady grin
they're from a different world than I'm livin' in

Pre-Chorus
I stand for the flag and give thanks to above
And I won’t apologize if that offends anyone

Chorus
I’m standin’ right here where I call my home
Still the same guy everybody’s known
Don't come at me say i'm out of lien
Stayin' true to myself is not a crime
Neighbors can count on me for sure
but they won’t hear that word I said before
You can knock all night on my front door
But “Sorry” don’t live here anymore
No more
No More

Your problem now

Plays: 1
Backstory
I wrote this after realizing some people don’t change—they just change who they’re with. Watching it happen again with someone new, you can see the whole story before it even starts. The twist is, it’s not written out of bitterness—it’s more about recognizing yourself in her and knowing exactly what she’s about to go through
Lyrics
Her problem now- Eric Blossman

Verse 1
Word travels fast in this two lane small town
Down on main street, She' was talkin'weddin' gowns
You musta told her she aint like the rest
But we all know what's coming next
Probly by now she's been stayin' over
Leavin’ half her life in every corner
She can't see right through you yet, I suppose
Yeah I was that girl not long ago

Chorus
I’ve been in her shoes, I know that place
I know how you play it, I made that mistake
She'll be left in the dark while you're steppin out
Yeah you're her problem now

Verse 2
Saw her sittin’ alone last Friday night
Same bar, same stool, same neon light
Starin’ down at a half-empty glass
it didn’t take long, that one went fast

Chorus
I’ve been in her shoes, I know that place
I know how you play it, yeah I made that mistake
She'll be left in the dark while you're steppin out
Yeah you're her problem now

Bridge
You don’t end one ‘fore you start the next
And maybe she ain’t caught on to you yet
But soon enough she’ll read between the lines
I hope you let her off easy this time

Final Chorus
I’ve been in her shoes, I know that place
I know how you play it, yeah I made that mistake
She'll be left in the dark while you're steppin out
Yeah you're her problem now

NOT DRINKIN CLEARLY

Plays: 1
Backstory
This one came from that late-night moment everybody’s had but doesn’t always admit out loud. It’s last call, you’ve had just enough to start second-guessing decisions you know were right during the day.
He’s sitting there staring at her name in his phone, knowing exactly how it’s gonna go if he calls—but the whiskey starts asking questions he already answered weeks ago. It’s not that he misses her more in that moment… it’s that his judgment gets a little cloudy.
The whole song lives in that split second where he almost hits the call button—but doesn’t.
That’s where “I’m not drinkin’ clearly” comes from.

Not Drinkin’ Clearly
Verse 1
Half past two, last call sweatin’ in my hand
Sittin’ here thinkin’ ’bout you again
Got my thumb hoverin’ over your name
Why do I think it won’t turn out the same
PreChorus
One more sip and I could cross that line
Now here goes nothin’, try one more time
Chorus
This whiskey’s got some questions
Might be time we address ’em
Did you ever plan on stayin’
Or was I a game you were a-playin’
Now I’m starin’ at your number on my screen
’Bout to hit send—and let it ring
Instead I’ll call it a night, gonna let it be
No I'm not drinkin' clearly
Verse 2
Changed your name to “don’t you dare” just last week
Still light up my phone like a Christmas tree
Got your goodbye saved in a text I keep
Guess some things ain’t as gone as they appear to be
Pre-Chorus
Tryna forget we've come undone
Couple more sips and my good sense is gone
Chorus
This whiskey’s got some questions
Might be time we address ’em
Did you ever plan on stayin’
Or was I a game that you were a-playin’
Now I’m starin’ at your number on my screen
’Bout to hit send—and let it ring
Instead I’ll call it a night, gonna let it be
No I'm not drinkin' clearly

Bridge
Thumb’s on green, but been down that road
One “hey you” and I’m right back home
So I let it ring, watch it fade to black
We ain’t goin’ back to that
Final Chorus
This whiskey’s got some questions
Might be time we address 'em
Did you ever plan on stayin’
Or was I a game that you were a-playin’
Now I’m starin’ at your number on my screen
’Bout to hit send—and let it ring
Instead I’ll call it a night, gonna let it be
No I'm not drinkin clearly

He'll Stop Askin'

Plays: 1
Backstory
"I wrote this after thinking about how a lot of parents spend years exhausted, running on fumes, trying to keep up with work, life, and everything that comes with raising kids. You tell yourself you'll throw one more pass tomorrow, read one more book tomorrow, stay up a little later tomorrow. Then one day you realize tomorrow quietly showed up and left. The things that wear you out today become the things you'd give anything to have back. This song is about those ordinary moments we don't realize are becoming memories while we're living them — Spider-Man shoes by the door, Hot Wheels under your feet, one more glass of water before bed, carrying a sleeping kid inside from the car. One day they stop asking. And you never know when the last time was gonna be the last time."
Lyrics
Eric Blossman. – IPI 838720516. – ericblossmanmusic@gmail.com (512) 7882502
He’ll Stop Askin’
VERSE 1
Five years old with his football tucked
Waitin' in the driveway when I pull up
Been a long day and I'm dead tired
In Spider-Man shoes and full speed wired
PRE-CHORUS
I wanna tell him, "Son, tomorrow'll be better"
But these days won't keep showin' up forever
CHORUS
One day he'll stop askin'
To throw just one more pass
One day I'll set him down
And never pick him up like that
One day there'll be no monsters underneath his bed
No more "Daddy, can you help me?" from that bedroom on the left
Right now, it sure feels everlastin'
But one day he'll stop askin'
VERSE 2
He's got toy dinosaurs under his covers
And I’m prayin' he'll close his eyes
Countin' down 'til this day's over
That's when I realize

CHORUS
One day he'll stop askin'
To throw just one more pass
One day I'll set him down
And never pick him up like that
One day there'll be no monsters underneath his bed
No more "Daddy, can you help me?" from that bedroom on the left
Right now, it sure feels everlastin'
But one day he'll stop askin'
BRIDGE
One day he'll find out I'm not superman
And these nights will come to an end
And then I'd trade everything I have
Just to hear "Daddy" once again
FINAL CHORUS
One day there'll be no monsters underneath his bed
No more "Daddy, can you help me?" from that bedroom on the left
Right now, it sure feels everlastin'
But one day he'll stop askin'

Last Night Into a Sunrise

Plays: 1
Backstory
"Last Night Into a Sunrise" tells the story of two strangers who meet on the final night of a beach town season, only to discover a connection neither of them saw coming. With one flying home and the other driving away the next morning, they know their time together is limited. Instead of saying goodbye, they spend the night talking, dancing, and walking the shoreline, trying to fit a lifetime of moments into a few short hours. The song captures the bittersweet feeling of meeting the right person at the wrong time and turning one unforgettable night into a sunrise they'll never forget.
Lyrics
VERSE 1
They're shutting' it down for the season
Danced the last song, band's packed and leavin
Saltwater curls glowin' in the moonlight
Crazy we're meeting here on our last night
Tomorrow you fly home, and I'll drive mine
Different roads, different lives, we left behind
PRE CHORUS
You say as you lean in closer
This night dont' have to be over
CHORUS
Girl, I ain't ready to call it a night
Let's put some rearview on these neon lights
Crank that beach town radio
As it takes us where the shoreline goes
Little salt in the air, little wine on your lips
can fit a lifetime in a night like this
Girl, I can see that look in your eyes
Let's turn our last night into a sunrise
Verse 2
Now we're barefoot walkin' where the tide comes in
Leavin' crooked footprints along the edge of it
You said your dad still fishes on that pier
You know my hometown is just a few hours from here
another slow dance and we're swayin' real slow
Yeah Neither one of us wants to let go
Bridge
Sun's comin' up behind the pier
Looks like daylight finally caught us herei
You tore off a matchbook, wrote your number down
said "don't be a stranger now'
FINAL CHORUS
We're still not ready to call it a night
We put some rearview on those neon lights
We're listening' to that beach town radio
Takes us where the shoreline goes
salt in the air, little wine on your lips
We can fit a lifetime in a night like this
Girl, I can see that look in your eyes
We turned our last night into a sunrise
Into a sunrise

Her Problem now - (3)

Plays: 1
Backstory
Set in a small town where everyone knows everyone's dating history, "Her Problem Now" is a sassy, uptempo country-pop anthem about a woman who sees her ex running the same playbook on another girl. At first she's amused and relieved that he's no longer her headache, but when she finds the new girl sitting alone at their old bar, waiting on a text that isn't coming, her attitude shifts from smug to sympathetic. Having been in those shoes herself, she buys the girl's drink and offers a shoulder to lean on, turning a clever breakup hook into an empowering, female-support anthem about moving on and lifting each other up.
Lyrics
VERSE 1
Saw your latest at the Texaco
Just like me she'll be the last to know
Must think you won't cheat on her like the rest
But we both know what's comin' next
Probably by now she's stayin' over
Leavin' half her life in every corner
PRECHORUS
believes all your lies I suppose
I was that girl not long ago
CHORUS
I've been in her shoes, I know that place
Believed every word, yeah I made that mistake
She'll be hearin' those whispers through the town
used to care but, you're her problem now
VERSE 2
She was sitting' there alone again last Friday night
Same bar, same stool, same neon light
Checkin' her phone every couple minutes flat
Why you treat another girl like that
CHORUS
I've been in her shoes, I know that place
Believed every word, yeah I made that mistake
She'll be hearin' those whispers through the town
used to care but, you're her problem now
BRIDGE
So I walked over and paid up her tab
Said "I know what you're feelin', girl I've been through that"
Call me if you ever need to talk it out
I can break it down
FINAL CHORUS
I've been in your shoes, I know that place
Believed every word yeah I made that mistake
You'll be hearin' those whispers through the town
I'm so sorry he's your problem now

Found a better ride

Plays: 2
Backstory
This song was inspired by the idea that sometimes the greatest chapters of a person's life are the ones they never talk about. A grandson inherits an old cedar box after his grandfather passes away and discovers a side of him he never knew existed—a young bull rider who quietly traded the roar of the arena for the love of a family. Through a letter hidden inside, he realizes his grandfather never gave up on his dream; he simply found one that mattered even more.
Lyrics

Found a better ride
VERSE 1
I got a call they found a box in the attic
Grandma says she thinks I might wanna have it
Pulled that attic cord, cloud of dust hit me square head on
in black marker “don’t open til’ I’m gone’
PRE-CHORUS
I cracked the lid...
Rodeo buckles, clippings, I never knew he used to ride.
then I found grandpa’s letter folded up inside.
Said, "If you're readin' this..." Dated 1965.
CHORUS
I was once a young bull rider, never talked about it.
Traded eight second runs for eight pounds three ounces.
Left the arena life for Little League, and Friday lights.
No, I never lost that fire I had inside.
I found a better ride.
VERSE 2
Black-and-white, a younger cowboy,
Number pinned upon his chest.
Underneath some Polaroids.
Cowboy boots, rodeo vest.
Wedding pictures, letters to Grandma,
Wrapped in twine and tucked away.
Guess the dream he thought he'd wanted...
Led him another way.

CHORUS
He was once a young bull rider, never talked about it.
Traded eight second runs for eight pounds three ounces.
Left the arena life for Little League, and Friday lights.
No, he never lost that fire he had inside.
He found a better ride.
BRIDGE
Turns out heroes don't all need headlines.
Some keep that chapter closed.
But I'd give anything for one more night,
To hear the stories, he never told.
FINAL CHORUS
He was once a young bull rider, never talked about it.
Traded eight second runs for eight pounds three ounces.
Left the arena life for Little League and Friday lights.
No, he never lost that fire he had inside.
He found a better ride...
Found a better ride.

It Comes With The Territory

Backstory
Like a lot of us, I grew up in a small town where nobody sat you down and handed you a rulebook on how to live. You learned by watching. My dad pulling over to help a stranger, neighbors showing up before anyone asked, and people keeping their word because their name meant something—that was just normal. Years later, after seeing how differently the world works in some places, I realized those weren't just random moments. They were the unwritten code that came with growing up there. That's what inspired "It Comes With the Territory." It's a song about the values that get passed down by example, one generation to the next, until they become part of who you are.
Lyrics
It comes with the territory
VERSE
Daddy pulled the Chevy back where the gravel bends
There's a man wrestlin' with a tire, dust blowin' in the wind
I said, "We don't even know him why we stopping now."
PRECHORUS
He never said another word about it,
Just climbed back in and drove
Funny how these moments teach us all we need tknow
CHORUS
There's a freight train rollin through here every hour
Through this town with a heart as big as that water tower
Where your word’s worth more than money
We're doin' right by everybody
like three generations did before me...
It comes with the territory.
VERSE 2
One July the Johnson hayfield lit up the evening sky
Before the sirens ever sounded, three tractors rolled on by
Nobody asked who owed who, or whose turn it was to help today
They just climbed down, grabbed a hose... that's the only way
CHORUS
There's a freight train rollin through.here every hour
Through this town with a heart as big as that water tower
Where your word’s worth more than money
We're doin' right by everybody
like three generations did before me...
It comes with the territory.
BRIDGE
A town ain't just a dot on a map or a county line
It's the kind of place that leaves its fingerprints on your life
Long after the water tower disappears in your rearview
You’l soon find out it never really left you.
CHORUS
There's a freight train rollin through here every hour
Through this town with a heart as big as that water tower
Where your word’s worth more than money
We're doin' right by everybody
Llike three generations did before me...
It comes with the territory.
