LEFT OVER WHISKEY

Plays: 13
Lyrics
Left Over Whiskey
Writer: Adam Byrd

V1:
Pulling in at 2 am again another promise I made broken
Walking down the hall past that half empty bottle my apologies unspoken
Oh, when I woke up all I could see was her back marching out that front door
She wasn't gonna put up with me anymore

CH1:
Left over whiskey, little white lies
Empty promises and weak alibis
She tore out the door like she wouldn't even miss me
She had enough of my ways and left over whiskey

V2:
That's when the truth hit like the blinding sunlight
That was shining through my window
How could I keep turning my back on that woman
And not expect to watch her go
I guess she wore out on waiting for me to come home
And not having any choice
I guess she finally had enough of this 'ol boy

CH1:
Left over whiskey, little white lies
Empty promises and weak alibis
She tore out the door like she wouldn't even miss me
She had enough of my ways and left over whiskey

CH1:
Left over whiskey, little white lies
Empty promises and weak alibis
She tore out the door like she wouldn't even miss me
She had enough of my ways and left over whiskey

CH2:
Left over whiskey, little white lies
Empty promises and weak alibis
All she took from here is a brokenhearted history
She had enough of my ways and left over whiskey

She had enough of my ways and left over whiskey

JUST ANOTHER TATTOO

Plays: 16
Lyrics
Just Another Tattoo
Writers: Adam Byrd/Sarah Motes Ashley

V1:
Some say I got ‘em for attention
Say it’s my way of fittin’ in
But no one ever gives me time to mention
They’re more than just ink on my skin
Where do I begin
Here on my shoulder says “sisters”
‘Cause family means the world to me
And I got this broken heart on my right ankle
That night in Abilene...when I turned 18

CH:
The needle always goes in deep
Kinda like the memories do
Like markers on a map to me of where I’ve been and my history
Even though I’ve got more than a few
None of them is just another tattoo

V2:
Here’s my guitar that Nana bought me
She showed me how to live out loud
Says right here she’s singing sweet in heaven
She taught me how, I’m gonna make her proud
This broken mirrors my reminder
Of all the girls I’ve tried to be
I am so much more than my reflection
What really counts is underneath
More than skin deep

CH:

BR:
I still got spaces cause there’s more places to be
More life stories waiting for me
I can’t wait to see the mark they leave on me

FALLBACK (ACOUSTIC)

Plays: 4
Lyrics
Fallback
Writers: Adam Byrd/Andrea Goodman

V1:
I can hear your ringtone again, cause you’re calling my phone again
Probably had another whose right, outta sight, late night fight with her
Already know what you’re going to say before I go to voicemail and play
That same message where you’re gonna wanna pick up
Where you left off last time
Lately I’ve been thinking you should know that I’m

CH:
I’m done being your fallback
I’m done being your second place
Don’t wanna be stuck in your back pocket
Don’t wanna be your just in case
I’ve given you too much slack thinking things will change
I’m tired of holding my breath, taking what’s left, playing these game
I’m done being your fallback
Yeah, yeah
I’m done being your fallback, fallback

V2:
There once was a day I thought you’d give it up after getting caught
So many times white lying, two timing, backsliding back to her
So when I tell ya I’m through, I’m through and there ain’t nothing that
you can do
From stopping me running round closing the bars down in my little black dress
When it comes to heartache I give what I get

CH:
I’m done being your fallback
I’m done being your second place
Don’t wanna be stuck in your back pocket
Don’t wanna be your just in case
I’ve given you too much slack thinking things will change
I’m tired of holding my breath, taking what’s left, playing these game
I’m done being your fallback
Yeah, yeah
I’m done being your fallback, fallback

CH:
I’m done being your fallback
I’m done being your second place
Don’t wanna be stuck in your back pocket
Don’t wanna be your just in case
I’ve given you too much slack thinking things will change
I’m tired of holding my breath, taking what’s left, playing these game
I’m done being your fallback
Yeah, yeah
I’m done being your fallback, fallback

Not gonna be your fallabck, fallback

Sunshine High

Plays: 0
Lyrics
Sunshine High
Writers: Adam Byrd/Alexsi Mallory

V1:
Last winter felt like a 9 to 5 grind
Can’t wait to get back outside and start
Living the good life
Flip-flops and tank tops keep calling
My name
Can ya feel that warm breeze blowing
Suit up and let’s get going somewhere

CH:
With a boat out on the lake or a Coleman grill
Full of brats and steak
Lounging at the pool, watching as the clouds roll by
Inner tube or folding chair
It can happen almost anywhere
Kick back and let the summer be your guide
To a sunshine high, a sunshine high

V2:
No this fix ain’t drink or drug induced
But it’s just as good as a double shot of 80 proof
A natural buzz to chase the gray away
Brighter days are just beginning
It’s time we all start spending some time

CH:
With a boat out on the lake or a Coleman grill
Full of brats and steak
Lounging at the pool, watching as the clouds roll by
Inner tube or folding chair
It can happen almost anywhere
Kick back and let the summer be your guide
To a sunshine high, a sunshine high

BR:
Those warm rays keep washing over me
There’s no place that I would rather be, than

CH:
With a boat out on the lake or a Coleman grill
Full of brats and steak
Lounging at the pool, watching as the clouds roll by
Inner tube or folding chair
It can happen almost anywhere
Kick back and let the summer be your guide
To a sunshine high, a sunshine high
A sunshine high
