A story song about that late night call we've all made and/or received.

Booty Call ©2014 Words and Music Steven D. Bryant It’s a little before midnight, Fallon ain’t making me smile. Kimmel and Letterman, same old stuff, I turn ‘em all off after a while. Nothing new on Netflix, So I call an old friend or two. I caught one at home, she picked up the phone. And asked me what I want her to do. I told her I was lonely, all by myself. Needed some company. She reminded me how late it was, I said it didn’t matter to me. She said she had to shower, Needed time to fix up her hair. Told me that it might take an hour, I told her that I just didn’t care. She said there’d be no funny stuff, Told her I didn’t want to laugh. I said if she’d just get off the phone, She’d probably cut her time in half. She said she was coming over to talk, And snuggle, but nothing more. I got off the phone, tidied up my home Checked for protection in the drawer. I need a booty call, With no strings attached. A booty call, Afterwards we’ll have some snacks. It’ll take time to convince her, She’ll say it isn’t right. I’ll tell her it’s okay, but she just can’t stay the night. I’m not looking for a girlfriend, I might have a lot of gall. Don’t want a long term commitment, Just a late night booty call. About an hour later, I hear a knock upon my door. I greeted her with a smile, My tighty whities, but no more. She said she wasn’t coming in, I had to go get dressed, I grabbed a shirt, pulled on my jeans, Tried hard to look my best. She told me I should act my age, Not like some kind of horny child. I said it wouldn’t be easy, Because her body always drove me wild. We settled on the sofa, I opened her up a beer. Put out some Ritz crackers, And tried to sit real near. We talked about the weather, Politics and Beyonce’s kid. When I made my move she shut me down And scolded me for what I did. Left me on the sofa, gave me the finger, And walked right out the door, Just then my cell phone rang, It was the girl I met the night before. She needs a booty call, With no strings attached. A booty call, Afterwards we’ll have some snacks. Won’t take time to convince me, I won’t say it isn’t right She’ll tell me it’s okay, but won’t let me stay the night. She’s not looking for a boyfriend, She might have a lot of gall. She don’t want a long term commitment, Just a late night booty call. We ain’t looking for forever, We don’t want a long haul. No long term commitment, Just a late night booty call.
