Welcome!
Thank you for visiting my yearbook. I write songs primarily on guitar, but I also use keyboards, and computer software that allows me to use traditional staff notation, or guitar tabs. I have a meager home studio that I use to produce 'takes' of songs that I am working on. I do all of this in the beautiful Bitterroot Valley in western Montana.

Day Gig:Own / run a computer repair business. Write music and sound engineer.
Why do you write songs? At the root of the why is that I cannot help it. I cannot stop the flow of music that keeps wanting to burst out. I'm *always* humming, tapping, and 'doing' something musical as the minutes pass each day. At a higher level, I write because I wish to contribute something of significance and meaning to those around me. Writing songs is both writing music, and writing lyrics. Sometimes, I just write music. Sometimes I do both. My message is from my heart, and I am driven, for some reason, to create. It is my nature...
August, 2007: Tomas David Hood obtains two new Taylor Guitars. Tomas adds to his professional tool set the 614ce and the T5. Tomas also obtains a Genz Benz Stereo acoustic amp. This marks the start of a new leg in Tomas' song writing and performing journey.
October 2007: Tomas David Hood moves from Washington State (Port Townsend area) to the Bitterroot Valley of Montana. Tomas begins the slow process of putting a recording studio together.
December 2008: Tomas David Hood joins SongU to increase his skill and knowledge of the business and of the process.
