Back Story
True story about a kind elderly janitor that worked in the building where I worked on Music Row. I tracked down his wife after I wrote this song, and gave her copies of the song (she wanted them for all their kids & grandchildren too), and that was one of the greatest experiences I've had as a songwriter.
