Back Story
I wrote this for my son Ian to celebrate what would have been his thirty-second birthday, March 20th 2008. After the recording session at Brayton and Sons Productions (that's Greg Brayton kickin' on guitar) I drove the backroads home. At sixty miles an hour I had a thought to slow it down to forty. Suddenly a herd of deer came rippin' across the road right in front of me. I stopped just in time from hitting three of them. That's what the song is about. My son is looking out for me by the grace of God.
