Welcome!
Hi all, For years I have been logging song titles and lyrical phrases that I felt would work in a commercial song . I don't know what took me so long, but I have finally decided to pursue a career in songwriting. I was going through some old notes from my creative writing teacher back in college. He noted that everything I wrote had a "lyrical feel" and that I should pursue it. That was over twenty years ago!! Anyhow, here I am.   You can read more about me in my bio.

Interview
The Writer's Room
Why do you write songs?
I really enjoy coming up with creative and clever ideas. I have used my creativity in the data processing field and in other writing ventures (newspaper, magazines, workshop design), but I believe I am more naturally attuned to lyric writing. Also, I believe I can really make an impact with my songs (socially, environmentally, etc...). I feel this is what I should be doing.

Who are your main influences?
The entire music community. Like the big "evergreen" hits such as "Live Like you were Dying" written by Craig Wiseman and Tim Nichols.
