Why do you write songs? I like to put words and notes together and make people think, smile, and cry. I love it when I have the opportunity to sing, as in church, and can look out and see that happening. Then when I'm done, rather than applause, I love a hushed silence. It usually means that I have connected with at least some in the room, (or that I've bored them with a less than good song :) ). Usually I get hugs and "thank-yous" for the song touching them in some way.
I am very honored to have received notice today (11/07/09) that my song, "LIVING STONES" has been nominated for "Best of SongU". Update as of 12/30/09-full demo is in on this song (Jimi & crew @ Nashville Demo Studio)
My first 3 demos made it in on 11/23/09. All 3 were recorded at Nashville Demo Studio. Jimi Whitelaw and the crew there did a great job and we look forward to more demos from them in the near future! My wife and I continue to thank God for His direction and hand in this whole thing!
#5 demo made it in today (2/1/10)from Jimi and crew at Nashville Demo Studio. We're real happy and thankful for the way HARD TIMES, TENDER PEOPLE turned out!
