I had to adopt a ‘never-say-never type philosophy’ early on, in order to accomplish any of my musical goals. Why do you write songs? 
I want to di-sect and analyze the songs that grab my attention to see why they do so. Also, the challenge to condense a "novel-length" story down to 3 to 3 1/2 minutes is appealing to me.
