Interview
The Writer's Room
Why do you write songs?
I write songs because I love doing it. Every year I write a Christmas song. I need to write songs for the members of my family as special events transpire. I write songs to express my graditude to the Lord. I love to collaborate with others on a large variety of musical song genres based on what talents and experiences the other writers bring to the table. Songwriting for me has become one of my main forms of communication.

Who are your main influences?
My main influences are The Beatles, Superman and God (but of course not in that order). My other influences are books that I read, music that I enjoy, my family, my friends, country radio and the students I work with. By the way, I recently Googled Jesus and John Lennon and the Lord's websites outnumber Lennon's by at least 100 to 1.
