Course Introduction
Listen to the instructor talk about this course:
Course Description
It's been said that a song with a poorly written
lyric and great music can still become a hit,
but a song with a great lyric and poorly written music doesn't stand a chance. Whether or not this is completely true, it is necessary to recognize the
importance of the musical elements of your songs. This
information-packed course examines what successful songs have in
common from a musical standpoint. Whether you are interested in pop,
rock, country or R&B, you will be given insight into musical timing issues,
how to develop a stronger melody and how create effective harmonies and rhythms
that add memorability and interest to your music.
