Course Description
This course is designed to help you discover that your guitar is not only an instrument, but it's also a tool for your creativity. You will find that exploring your guitar in new ways can inspire you and expand your songwriting abilities. Tablature will be taught and used in exercises as examples of different fingerpicking and strumming styles that can be incorporated into your songs to make them more dynamic and listener-friendly in pop, rock, folk and alternative music.

Course Content
Lesson 1: Introduction To Tablature
Lesson 2: Applying Strumming Patterns
Lesson 3: Applying Fingerpicking Patterns
Lesson 4: Guitar Tricks

Estimated Time
This course consists of four lessons each of which takes approximately twenty to thirty minutes to complete. To obtain the greatest benefit, we suggest that you leave enough time after finishing each lesson to do all the exercises and fully absorb the material before beginning the next lesson.

Pre-Requisite Knowledge
The student should be familiar with basic chords and simple strums, and an understanding of some beginning music theory would also be beneficial, but is not necessary.
