Course Title
FDBK 100 Song Feedback and Mentoring
Instructors
Randy Klein
Course Description
This feedback and mentoring session is geared
toward ALL songwriters regardless of their level or genre. It's also a great
class to start with if you have never received feedback before. Randy likes to hear
commercial as well as non-commercial songs too (aka, "non-love" songs). He's
also an experienced pro in musical theatre, cabaret and jazz. So don't
be shy. Feel free to bring whatever songs you're working on in any style to
this session for feedback. You can bring one
song (or lyric) in your backpack for instructor feedback or one question in your backpack
for your instructor's insights and opinion. This session is limited to 5
participants only to allow for personalized attention, feedback and class
discussion.
IMPORTANT PRE-SESSION INSTRUCTIONS:
- Songs or questions should be first created as
a file in your Locker prefixed with the session title (e.g, FDBK 115 - I Love
The Way You Love, or FDBK 115 - Question)
- For all song lyrics, please capitalize your title
and identify each section of the song (e.g., Verse 1, Chorus, etc.) Mark your
copyright and name at the top or bottom of the lyric.
- Place this file (your song or question) in your
Backpack at least 24 hours prior
to class. As long as it is in your Backpack, the instructor will have access to
it during class.
- Please make every effort to attend since this is designed to be an
interactive session. However, if you are unable to attend due to time
conflicts or illness, you must include a note in your Locker file for
the instructor. Instructors make an effort to evaluate all songs and answer
all questions as time permits (preference given to those in attendance).
