Course Title
SONG 210 Evaluating Your Song: Melodic Evaluation
Instructor
Craig Bickhardt
Course Introduction
Listen to the instructor talk about this e-seminar:
Course Description
This special three-part series of e-Seminars (SONG 210, 215, 220) explores the various elements that may be said to make a song a
hit and gives you a chance to "test" the hit potential of your own
songs. Hit songs are a genre unto themselves and while each is unique, a careful analysis of them will reveal many purely "mechanical" similarities that can be quantified.
Each e-Seminar is designed to help you determine how commercially viable your
songs are in comparison to hit songs. Use this series as a tool to evaluate each of your songs on an individual
basis:
- SONG 210 focuses on melody and music.
- SONG 215 focuses on lyrics and song ideas.
- SONG 220 focuses on arrangement and structure.
