Course Description
This is a fundamental lyric writing course that focuses on several techniques to add interest to your lyric by incorporating contrast. Using examples from popular music genres, you will see how rhyme sounds, patterns, rhythm, prounoun emphasis and detail can make your lyrics stand out.

Estimated Time
This course consists of five lessons each of which takes approximately fifteen minutes to complete.  To obtain the greatest benefit, we suggest that you leave enough time after finishing each lesson to do all the exercises and fully absorb the material before beginning the next lesson.

Pre-Requisite Knowledge
This course assumes a thorough understanding of song structure and a basic knowledge of rhyme.  Suggested pre-requisite courses include: LYR110 - Conquering Rhyme and SONG100 - Intro.To Song Forms.
