Course Title
LYR 310 Creative Core Conditioning
Instructor
Sara Light
Course Description
Work your songwriting muscles! Feel the creative burn! Sweat out a song in one
session! Here's your chance to put everything you have been learning into
practice. Join Sara Light in this high-impact "real time" write. This is not a
group write - everyone in the class will start and finish their own lyric or
song. The
session will be divided into a short creative transitioning exercise, a
topic/assignment, a pre-write focusing period to find your best title and angle,
and powering out your first draft by the time the class is over. This is a great
way to condition yourself to write on-demand, to become a better collaborator by
becoming a stronger writer, to break out of writer's block, and to push your
creative boundaries.
