Backstory:
I had this idea of "Me and My Scotch on the rocks". It sounded kind of cool. Sarah added her amazing sense of melody and we worked out the lyrics and came up with this.
Lyrics:
On The Rocks

Sitting in the dark
Listening to the rain
I think I’m drunk again
Whispering his name
I can still taste
His last kiss on my lips
Now he’s gone
That’s what I get, what I get
For falling way too hard
Thinking love is real
Opening this hopeful heart
Now all that’s left
Of all I ain’t got
Is just me and my scotch
On the rocks
Ice cold to the touch
Burning down my soul
Making the truth easier to swallow
But the morning’s gonna come
And I can’t stop the sun
Blinding light shining on my pain
Bridge:
When the glass is empty
And the bottle runs dry
No 8o proof to blur the truth
Just hollow a alibi
